Product information:
The M.2 slot is connected via four PCIe 3.0 lanes and supports the NVMe protocol and, in combination with a compatible M.2 SSD, this enables a transfer rate of almost 4 GB/s. That is roughly eight times faster than an SSD connected via SATA 6G! An additional M.2 slot is connected over PCIe 3.0 x2. Additional drives like SSDs, HDDs and optical drives can be connected via six SATA 3.0 ports. Up to 64 GB of memory can be installed in four DDR4-DIMM slots at a frequency of up to 2.666 MHz.
The I/O panel of the Gigabyte B360 HD3 offers one USB 3.1 port. These USB 3.1 ports allow speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s and are twice as fast as older USB 3.0 ports! Additional peripherals can be connected with three USB 3.0- and two USB 2.0 slots.
DVI-, HDMI- and D-Sub ports for display output from the processor's integrated GPU are located on the I/O panel. The motherboard provides a Realtek ALC892 chip and six 3,5 mm jacks for high quality sound ouput. The internal connectors include a COM port, TPM-, LPT-, Power LED and a speaker header, four fan connectors, two USB 2.0-, one USB 3.0 header and one Thunderbolt connector.
The black-grey Gigabyte B360 HD3 possesses a 4-pin RGB-LED header which can be used for illuminating a gaming system with a variety of RGB strips and fans.
