Great

Very good budget mobo, Not brilliant for Clocking but it never said it was! great support for cpu's etc. A first choice.
Ooo one thing, Not future proof with DDR2 but I'm not complaining!

Great Board

This is typical Gigabyte - superb build quality and built to last.
But just a couple of things to be aware of it you are thinking of getting it:
1) If fitting a large GRFX card especially if it is a double width card you will lose the ability to use a SATA port as the card will cover it.
2) the board has no on board Esata port.
3) the board has no firewirre port.
If none of the above points matter to you then this MoBo is a first right choice.

Perfect all-in-one

I got this for a linux PC I am running beside my others, which is mostly for watching TV, streaming video on, when working on my other screens.

It's well laid out with no difficulty installing. The audio was a surprise - better than I thought it would be and is crystal clear. Some onboard audio is a bit dull but this is perfect for music.

Plays 720p/x264 perfectly with no jarring/freezing etc. This is what I mainly wanted it for and 720p is about as high as I stream on wireless anyway.

I didn't want it for any 3D but it's compulsory to test these things so I threw a few linux 3D titles at it and was surprised at how well it did. the X4500 certainly beats the normal crappy intel integrated graphics.

The BIOS is excellent - nearly all the features of my other, more expensive, Gigabyte boards. Haven't tried oc'ing, but Gigabyte are generally good as a rule.

All in all, I don't know why you would pay more unless for overclockability (which this prob has)

Recommended.

Super easy setup overclockable board

After my son successfully blew my old x48 motherboard which I handed down to him I thought I would grab him something a bit cheaper this time, errmmm much cheaper this time is what I ment really.

Grabbed him this board, have to say it was much smaller than expected, its only just micro ATX, infact its tiny, but tiny with a massive bios, I set it all up within 30 mins into his existing case, with an Intel Quad Q6600 and 4gb OCZ Platinum 1066mhz RAM, the highest RAM supported by the board with the latest bios is 800mhz, but I instantly overclocked the Quad to 3.2ghz putting the ram back at 1066mhz with no extra voltage using the stock cooler, im not using the on-board GFX so the NB is sitting nice and cool.

Id highly recommend this board to anyone looking at purchasing it, I was gonna get the GA-G41M-ES2H at a slightly higher price but after looking at some reviews on the board, discovered that the orange PCI Express slot only runs a x4, no good if you want to use it for a x16 GFX card

Easy Overclock On E5300

Hi all.Just got this motherboard for my bro with an E5300 and overclocked it to 3.46Ghz easily by increasing the FSB from 200mhz to 266mhz (anything over 270 was unstable for me).

Passed 25 runs on IntelBurnTest and got a score of 21Gflops and temp never went over 70C with the STOCK cooler(This is below Intels maximum of 74C).

VERY VERY happy with this motherboard.......With the E5300 in it at this speed it outperforms the E8400!!!!

BTW,im using OCZ 8500 DDR2 RAM @ 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 and a 400W PSU & great service from overclockers as usual!!

(standard next day delivery arrived at 12:30pm and only cost a tenner!)
