Great with ssd sata III

Had this for about 6 months now, and runs a treat, even when overclocking.
The marvel drivers that come with it, are terrible, and you will get a 5.9 on the WEI if you use them, however, there is a way of making them work and work damn fast too, I get 7.9 on an ssd, follow this link to see how to fix the drivers http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=4570135&postcount=24

5 stars, as it does what it says, and doesnt complain about overheating when everything is turned up a few notches.
And the dual bios comes in handy too , especially if like me, you are an amateur and crank things up too much :)

Awesome mobo

Just upgraded to i7 and what can I say, this board is simply excellent. Overclocked my i7 920 to 4.2GHz @1.296v (in Win7) was very easy.

Looking forward to adding an SSD boot drive soon.

You will not be upset with this board, trust me.:D

AMAZING

i get one of those to fit my i7 920 arrived next day and i have to say this baby its completly outstanding went to bios set multiplier to 21 and blck to 105 and set memory to 2000mhz went to windows and bang ultra stable without even touch on voltages love this baby

marco ferreira 2010-05-10

rock on

got one of these saturday (17th april)
cost a lot but goes liek a rocket
got my i7 930 upto 4.3ghz super pi of 9.439secs with a few attempts
i stopped at that, after all only a day old..
if you fit the noctua nh-d14 the northbridge cooelr is hell close..
the northbridge has water cooling pipes fitted as standard. so many features it take all day to write em down

Update

Hi OC

Just sent a feedback of this mobo explaining how the SATA 3.0 drivers didnt work correctly when installing Win 7, based on experience and posts, but I have found the solution to my problem at least.

The C300 SSD's or/and the mobo require SATA 3.0 cables (yeah OK obviously I hear ya saying!). Now if you put this in a nice Corsair 800D case to wrap it all up in a pretty package you have a problem... Why? Cos the drive bays in the 800D are only SATA 2.0. /Facepalm

Ran drive tests and all is good with the mobo performance wise so far.

All drivers seem ok and upto date from supplier.

Look fwd to playing with it more.

Work mate put this up for me after we found out http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18135950

No Sata III

A friend and I bought 2 of these with C300 SSD's to run SATA 3.0 and it doesn't work. From what I have read the Marvell SATA 3 drivers are flawed. Basically it doesn't do what it says on the tin I'm affraid. Chk forms to see if the issue is fixed if you buy this board for use with fast SSD's.

The board is high quality though and looks great but until I get the OS installed I can't say much more good tbh.

Nice work from GB

First would like to thank oc uk for the great service for sending hw abroad.

Well this is one hell of a good motherboard. Especially its cooling solution. USB 3 , Sata 6gbps, Clear CMOS etc etc ...

Few down things though.
I have this running on a Core i7 930 D0 ,F6 (Latest Bios), and Corsair Dominator GT 2000MHz mem.
When overclocking i couldnt get past teh 180MHz qpi on te following voltages.
cpu = auto (otherwise it will never be stable?!?!?!?)
cpu pll 1.88
qpi 1.39
dram 1.64
qpi 180MHz
cpu multiplier x22 (+1 By GigaByte).
Mem Multiplier x10.

So to sum up
Im running at 3955MHz and 1800MHz memory at 8-8-824.

Not too bad, but im waiting a response from oc uk to give me some of their tips to hit something better on the memory too ;)

Good luck.

Excelent

this board is great, i had some miner problems with hard drives because they cane from a raid on another board.

i have an i7 920 at 3.2Ghz at the min and 6gb of patriot viper 1600 at 1800 and windows 7 x64 and the speed of my computer is amazing.

i would recomend this future proof motherboard to anyone who wants a high end computer.

5 stars for a great board nice work Gigabyte

Quality

Just put this board with my new rig and its has been amazing, i always thought i would buy an asus board but after reading some reviews i went for this and i am very glad i did, i have this running Crossfire 5870's and an i7 930 and its brilliant.

Amazing board, you wont regret buying it!

who needs asus

OK
I'll be honest right up front here.
I have always been an asus fan when it comes to motherboards & I normally make no exceptions... ever...

UNTIL NOW.

This actually reminds me a lot of asus as its built really well & everything is well laid out, i was pleasantly suprised.

As for it's performance well I can only rave more regards that.
Paired with some dominators, i7 975 extreme & a couple of xfx 5970 blacks = this mobo proves it can handle a pretty extreme/ quality set up np's...

It has loads of Overclocking potential that even keeps me entertained... & belive me I bore easily :p

Gigabyte has came up with a winner here for sure.

Add in its sata 3 & usb 3 & your left with no other choice I think for a quality mobo to complement an extreme/ quality system like I got.

Top marks to you Gigabyte.
Asus ? I may have found a new mobo make for future builds :p

Quality all round, from build. to parts used, to performance = its a faultless winner for me.

Great mobo

This mobo comes with a power switch, which is very handy for assembling components and testing. However be careful the SATA ports faces outwards so leave plenty of room for the hard SATA cables. After all this is the 2nd best mobo for LGA1366, after EVGA classified.

GA-X58A-UD7

Excellent board that's so easy to O/C.
Got to 4.2 without any hiccup and it's rock solid stable at that speed.
Lots of future proof features too, which will make it really shine when the components become readily available.
Highly recommended, especially after coming from a 680i board

Krait 2010-02-17

What else can I say

Superb!

Griff7520 2010-02-01

Excellent Board

2nd built gigabyte board wasn't disappointed at all.
Hooked it up with the H50, 920 D0 and overclocked to 4GHZ with minimum effort.
Temps idle at 28-35
Max on prime 60-68

Only problem the PCI-E slots are too close together making it impossible to attach NB block with a creative sound card...
Nevertheless the temps of the NB is only 45.
Nice power/clear cmos buttons very handy for bad OCing. (not that would happen :P)

5/5 without a doubt.
Looking to pump the CPU @4.2+

Ace board OCUK great

Been about 10years since i built a PC had this running with water cooled CPU in a day and overclocked to a stable 4GHz from i7 920 2.66. LED's nice, 2x PCI 1.0 is ace for sound. Just had a bit of trouble working out the HDD RAID but the last time i made a PC RAID didnt exist!
