GIGABYTE introduces the latest exclusive "Triangle Cool" Technology to reach a better cooling performance. The latest patent pending technology combines fin with clip module in a special triangle shape. With the original anti-turbulence structure plus the new triangle cooling design, it enhances the efficiency of heat dissipation dramatically by minimizing the flow of turbulence between fans. Therefore, the "Triangle Cool" Technology provides a more efficient air flow for the cooling system.

Ultra Durable VGA board provides dramatic cooling effect on lowering both GPU and memory temperature by doubling the copper inner layer of PCB. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA can lower GPU temperature by 5% to 10%.

Ultra Durable VGA board reduces voltage ripples in normal and transient state, thus effectively lowers noises and ensures higher overclocking capability. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA graphic accelerators improve overclocking capability by 10% to 30%.

Ultra Durable VGA board allows more bandwidth for electron passage and reduces circuit impedance. The less circuit impedance, the more stable flow of current and can effectively improve power efficiency. GIGABYTE Ultra Durable VGA can lower power switching loss by 10% to 30%.

Ok so maybe the 9 is a little picky..... I bought this as an upgrade from my 6970 - MSI twin frozr III in prep for bf4 (handy i got the game free) As far as benching as compared to the 6970, much more stable, less off a gap between max/min fps on Unigine Heaven & Valley (not really a direct comparison as 6970 on runs dx9 where the 280X is dx11)

Epic performance in a nut shell, have a really random vibration noise when fans run at 66% ( probably just a resonance note) but the main reason for the -0.2 is purely due to all the ball ache ive had with CCC (catalyst control centre) and drivers, ive never known a factory provided piece of software to be so unreliable (aside from Samsung's amazing Kies =P ). Tried it, dumped it, back to MSI afterburner

One hot card (well, two actually)

Ordered and received in under 24 hours (thank you Overclockers)! As these are factory overclocked cards, they run a tad warm (92C recorded in my system) when maxed out, but not excessively noisy in my opinion - even with six fans at 100% (2 x R9 280x's in crossfire).
My system is rather old: a water cooled first gen i7 920 @ a modest 3.4Ghz; 12Gb mem @1704Mhz and more case fans than I can shake a stick at. It's not as if the cards are not getting enough fresh air. Having said that, there isn't a lot of room between them as I have a Xonar Essence ST sound card in the way, which doesn't help much. Plus the cards disperse their heat inside my case and not out the back like the old 5870's they replaced. Pleased with the optimum frame rates though. Glad I went with these cards - massive improvement!

Awesome

Well what can i say about this card apart from AWESOME!, i purchased this card a few days ago maybe a week if that and this card has not let me down. Currently running every game on ultra(Maxed out) sitting around 70-80 FPS on battlefield 4 If you are looking for a card that can run games maxed then this is the card for you TRUST ME if you buy this you will not regret it what so ever!.

Amazing

Ordered this few days back, AMAZED by the price and quality of this item. Truly it is amazing the build is strong it requires a 600w minimum PSU so be warned before purchasing as i had to upgrade my PSU to a 950w purely for neon's and crossfire xD. This card runs BF4 on ultra with no problems at 70/80 fps aswell as DayZ Standalone maxed out with no problems. MY ADVICE GET THIS CARD!.

sweet

I have a sapphire vapor-x OC in my case but put this one in my flatmates build. Performance is the same of course but this is slimmer and quieter by far. Also noticed occasional coil whine on my Sapphire that I can't detect on this. If you're in the market for a 280X i'd say this is the fella as it will leave room to X-fire another one without the fans being blocked. Performance wise it will pretty much max anything.
