great start!

Dropped an i5-4690k and 8Gb of Avexir Gold Series into this board.
Stress tested all day with IntelBurnTest and its passed all.
Its eairly days yes, but for the price, I cant see this going wrong for a gaming rig.

Cheap & Cheerful, but does the job.

It's not exactly brimming with extras, but I needed a decently-performing Board for a Haswell CPU, with sufficient clearance around the PCIE socket for a Single GTX 970 Graphics Card and a USB 3.0 connector for the Front of my Case... and this board delivers on that nicely.

True to the "Ultra Durability" claims, it has Dual-BIOS on board; and it makes good use of the available space. I didn't have any issues with the Capacitor Layout etc. when fitting my GPU, and the 6 SATA sockets are all clustered together at the bottom of the board, out of the way of anything else. The board itself isn't too brittle and claims to resist moisture warping (not that I've had any cause to test it!). Like most boards these days it comes with an on-board RAID controller (I noticed a repair/recovery function built in for this) and full support for UEFI Disks; meaning that I managed to install Windows 7 64bit straight onto a Striped 4TB drive.

Another thing to note is Fan risers - it has a standard 4-pin CPU fan riser, plus one 3-pin and two 4-pin risers for System fans. The Dual PS/2 Sockets are a nice retro touch, and the on-board sound is standard fare and appears decent enough.

As for failings? Well, the On-board Graphics only has a HDMI output (but you're not buying this Mobo for its graphics are you?) and the Board has no physical Parallel port (but it does have a header for one). The BIOS takes a little getting used to, as there appear to be at least three different BIOS "types" on board (Basic, Classic and Fancy). These seem to be heavily geared towards overclocking the CPU and Memory; but the defaults will get you running straight out of the box.

The bundled box is a little short on supplies; Boasting just two SATA 6.0 cables (one straight, one 90 degrees), a Manual, a Driver CD and a metal back bezel plate. The driver CD contains the usual vendor drivers and a glut of 30-day trialware (PowerDVD, Norton, etc. Meh.) but I was pleasantly surprised by the option to bulk install all the drivers at once, and the fact that all the vendor utilities come in an "App store" launcher that keeps all the various bits of tat together and has the ability to self-update. It took me about 5 clicks, 10 minutes and one reboot to get everything settled on Windows 7 64bit.

Gigabyte products have been pretty reliable for me in the past, and I'm not expecting this one to be any different. For the cheapest Haswell option currently on offer on OCUK, it's a very decent board.
