Fantastic card

Everyone is moaning about the noise of this card but it is no louder than a 6970. Why don't you game with a headset lol? And if watching videos, you should allow it to sit at default fans

Anyway, performance. I went from two 6970s in CF to a 6990+6970 tri-fire. With 11.4 RC2 drivers, I went from 77fps to 115fps in Heaven 2.5. That's close to 140% uplift from two GPUs, or close to 90% scaling.

I put the 6990 right next to my 6970 and temps reached 100degC. It is recommended that you give the 6990 room to breathe - i.e. don't shove something next to it. The fan intake is in the centre, rather than the end as with the 6970!

Great price from OCUK. Delivered next day after an order at 1530pm

Gaming redefined!!

That preview 11.4 drivver is very immature and buggy and you have to totally wipe all previous ati regestry folders before implementing new driver but once its in and running it is a gamers dream you will never need another card!! ever!! Got 82 fps on highes tsettings on very high crysis 2 av fps is approx 56fps you haveto tweak the CCC for every game has different engine but once you persevere to get it just right the 590 gtx nvidia is trailing in its wake !! The packaging and quality ooze such awesome prowess ITS FRIGHTENING! Oh and for those who seem bent on complaining about fan noise just picked up my

This is by far the most powerful card money can buy......But should the cooling fan really be that loud?

This makes my GTX480 seem silent, I accept some noise as a trade off for the power - but this is really to loud.
