Product information: GeForce GTX 1080 HerculeZ Twin X2 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card (N1080-1SDN-P6DN)

NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce® GTX 1080 is the most advanced gaming GPU ever created, powered by the high-performance, energy-efficient new NVIDIA Pascal™ architecture. Pascal enables truly game-changing performance with captivating sights and sounds, as well as next-generation VR performance that offers the lowest latency and plug-and-play compatibility with leading headsets.

NVIDIA Ansel Technology exclusive to 10 series allows you to grab a screenshot in supporting games such as The Divsion and upcoming Unreal Tournament from any 360 degree position, ability to increase resolution, use cool filters so that you can screenshot those perfect headshots and view them in a full 360 degrees.

NVIDIA VR AUDIO Works Technology exclusive to 10 series is interative audio so realistic path traced audio meaning sound bounces off objects just like it would in the real world further improving the gaming experience on the audio side.

NVIDIA GeForce 10 series is based on 16nm finfet architecture resulting in just 180W TDP power consumption for a graphics card that can outperform Titan X in many situations whilst being upto three times more efficient. Overclocking headroom is also exceptional with around 2GHz core overclocks being possible (not guaranteed) resulting in 20% and higher overclock potential.

NVIDIA Simultaneous Multi-Projection Technology renders multi screens in one path mean performance in Virtual Reality titles on VR headsets such as HTC Vive and Oculos results in double the performance of Titan X making 10 series the King of Virtual Reality and whilst being upto three times more efficient at the same time.

Good but kind of loud

The card arrived and i put it in straight away and fired up some overwatch to my surprise the card got to about 70c so i decided to go into msi afterburner and pipe the fan speed up to fifty this quickly turned that 70 into 61 this was fine until the inductor (chokes) on the card started wheezing making spitting noises but this is fine as it happens on most cards and can barely be heard once in use of headphones.

great for the price could have better build quality

solid component

Bought this on a whim as it was the cheapest in stock at the time. We all know how fast the 1080 Pascal chip is, so I'll focus on what distinguishes this particular product from other GTX 1080 cards.

This is a dual slot heat sink and twin fan design. The heat sink assembly covers virtually the length of the card, and there's plenty of cooling potential. The fans are the usual plastic things you find on these kinds of coolers; a little dinky but there are two of them. The fan housing is constructed of mostly metal and can be removed (Inno3d have hilariously included an allen key for this purpose). There is a back plate which doesn't appear to have any cooling function, rather it ensures the PCB won't get warped. While they won't win any beauty contests, Inno3d have thankfully avoided LEDs and garish colouring.

This isn't a noisy card by any means, but just an fyi you won't find total silence here. With my case on the desk beside me, and with the card loaded at full tilt I can just about hear the faint whine of the fans while the speakers are quiet.

Overall I'd describe the build quality as very good. If you're looking for cooler/quieter than this, you'll probably have to look beyond dual slot cooling, and that of course comes with it's own compromises.

It terms of pointless extras, you'll find a mouse mat and a couple of keys for 3dMark. Nice, but I'd personally prefer another tenner off the price. Inno3d offer a two year warranty. Three years wouldn't kill them imo, but seeing as most of us upgrade on a one or two year cycle it's no deal breaker.

Overall I'd say this is at least comparable in quality with the so-called Founders edition cards. Really a no brainer if it just comes down to price.

Great

was put off at first, but under the cooler lies a reference nvidia pcb. It performs great and the fans are quiet. tops out at 75c in an evga hadron case. overclocks just as well as any other card at the moment. 2100/5500 was easy on my card. great purchase.

Amazing graphics card

This is the best ever graphics card i have owned, it was a massive upgrade from my old gigabyte AMD 7970, all the top games this card handles with ease with the settings ramped up and gets 60+ fps . I like the looks of the Inno3D with the Herclez design twin fans and cooler, it's also very quiet with great temps even when playing the most demanding games .
