GeForce GTX 1080 "Reference Blower" 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card (80NSJ6DHK5VK)

NVIDIA’s flagship GeForce® GTX 1080 is the most advanced gaming GPU ever created, powered by the high-performance, energy-efficient new NVIDIA Pascal™ architecture. Pascal enables truly game-changing performance with captivating sights and sounds, as well as next-generation VR performance that offers the lowest latency and plug-and-play compatibility with leading headsets.

NVIDIA Ansel Technology exclusive to 10 series allows you to grab a screenshot in supporting games such as The Divsion and upcoming Unreal Tournament from any 360 degree position, ability to increase resolution, use cool filters so that you can screenshot those perfect headshots and view them in a full 360 degrees.

NVIDIA VR AUDIO Works Technology exclusive to 10 series is interative audio so realistic path traced audio meaning sound bounces off objects just like it would in the real world further improving the gaming experience on the audio side.

NVIDIA GeForce 10 series is based on 16nm finfet architecture resulting in just 180W TDP power consumption for a graphics card that can outperform Titan X in many situations whilst being upto three times more efficient. Overclocking headroom is also exceptional with around 2GHz core overclocks being possible (not guaranteed) resulting in 20% and higher overclock potential.

NVIDIA Simultaneous Multi-Projection Technology renders multi screens in one path mean performance in Virtual Reality titles on VR headsets such as HTC Vive and Oculos results in double the performance of Titan X making 10 series the King of Virtual Reality and whilst being upto three times more efficient at the same time.

Awesome performing card

First let me say great service as always from overclockers ordered right before cut off Saturday and arrived 11.50 Sunday (and the kids got some haribo, idont know who was more excited for the delivery)

Now the card for £539.99 this card blew me away to be perfectly honest, boost clock is rated at 1733MHz while mine during bench on 3d mark hits 1900MHz got lucky on the silicone lottery i guess.

For those who like some numbers

This card scored

22571 on firestrike normal
10595 on fire strike Extreme
5181 on firestrike Ultra

I cant comment on the blower as i went for the cheapest reference card with the intention of adding a water block didn't see a point in paying more for a better blower i knew was going to be removed.

Im running a 2560x1080 144Hz (200Hz overclocked) G-Sync Acer z35 Predator pannel,

and this card has blown me away considering my panel has a fair few pixels to push being ultrawide and 144Hz.
but the card maxes anything i throw its way without breaking a sweat, havent overclocked yet as dont see a need currently

The blower does seem a bit cheap quality wise after inspection while removing for the block instalation, but looks aren't everything so dont take my word just stating what i found compared to other reference cards.

So i would recomend this to someone who intends to watercool as the blower wont matter of course

all in all a very powerful card ticks all the boxes for me and at a great price point

hope this helps those on the fence about the card

Great Card

For £539.99, overclocks nicely dependant on program used. Windows 10 needed to be updated.

Coming from an ATI HD7990 @ 1100 Core running on 1440p, 3GB VRAM being the limiting factor. KFA2 GTX1080 (80NSJ6DHK5VK) whilst OC'ed has a min of 40% increase in FPS.

Overclocks can go slightly higher, but to err on the side of no crashes and nice round numbers.

Water cooled.
Power Limit 120% - Temp Limit 92C

Gaming stable: 2100 Core 5490 Mem @ 45C 117% TDP
FurMark stable: 2100 Core 5490 Mem @ 45C 117% TDP
Heaven stable: 2070 Core 5250 Mem @ 45C 107% TDP

Can't comment on the ref blower, however a low TDP even after O/C means it shouldn't need to work too hard.

Be aware voltage limit on all Ref GTX1080 cards as of 14/09/16 is 1.093v. The none ref cards can go to 1.125v, though the Core overclock wall isn't much higher than Ref.

As always with OCUK great price drops, fast delivery and well packaged. No Haribo this time though.
