Worth the money

After lots and lots of thought. Careful consideration.
I've decided to buy this LG Gaming Monitor.
It's got some perfect features.
80cm Screen size is big main attraction.
High refresh rate.
2k Resolution.
I understand that it may not be the sharpest picture and no HDR.

As a rule a don't think much of LG products.(my opinion has changed)
I've always seen them as a budget purchase.
However this particular monitor isn't cheap, largely tax and G-sync making it pricey. I'm hoping the G-Sync certification, ensures added Quality. LG do seem to have a good grip on gaming monitors. Kinda have to respect that.

Initial impressions, Good build quality, Minimal bezels. Good looking Matt screen. This monitor does have an anti glare coating. Doesn't affect Picture quality at all.
No defects.

Very easy to setup.
One criticism, it could do with an optical out.
Headphone Jack is more than good enough for my stereo soundbar.

Not interested in the USB 3.0 hub which needs connecting to PC. Really unnecessary.
Better to have another feature instead.
USB 3.0 hubs are cheap to buy.

I've use this monitor for about 6 or 7 days.
68 hours actually.
Half gaming and half TV, with a small amount of Desktop use.

Great Gaming experience. Can't fault it.
Handles any game.
I find myself wanting more games and higher FPS tweaking.

The desktop experience is very good.

Watching films and TV on the PC. Really great.

As a TV, with a STB Android TV Box connected to HDMI. 1080p60hz
It's Good, not great, does show up the poor graphic capabilities of said devices .
You can't beat the front end electronics associated with TV's

If I had a console, I'd test it.

Bear in mind it's not a TV. A normal TV would be better suited and more appropriate for other HDMI devices.

I've add a ICC profile to the windows colour management.
Can't see a difference. More experimenting.

My experience just gets better and better with this monitor.

Great option for Gaming in Style in 32 Inches. G-Sync all the way!

I needed a monitor upgrade (preferably with G-Sync) for my gaming sessions. I come from a Benq bl3200pt, which is a great monitor for Multimedia and work, really great colors, and large Screen area (32 inches).

However, I was feeling limited in competitive gaming due to Input Lag (Moderate) and 60Hz limit. Here comes the LG 32gk850G that I got in Overclockers UK, which solves all those problems, without sacrificing size (32 inches), resolution (2K) or style (RGB). I understand that not everyone favours VA panels, but I have to say this feels as any other top IPS monitors I've looked at, without any problem of IPS glow.

The only minor complaints (if any) are the colour gamut, which does not feel as rich or precise as in the former Benq, and that it could greatly benefit from local dimming backlight (as this feels as an Edge LED Backlit screen, and you can tell this panel deserved better backlight technology).

In conclusion, if you need a combination of competitive gaming, size, and performance, this is one of the best options in the market.

Does exactly what it says. It's a fantastic monitor with great colour reproduction. I only have one dead pixel in the very upper left of the screen, such that it's completely invisible to me - but I'll still only rate a 9/10 due to it being there.

Otherwise this is a perfect monitor in my opinion. Very happy with it.

Good Monitor defect free

This monitor is great I've been looking for a monitor from some time with these specs but couldn't find one without horrendous Back light bleed or uniformity issues, the one that I got is 100% back light bleed free the response times are as good as you can get with out going with a TN monitor and getting colour banding and poorer colour's.

Only downside I have with it is its stand, I cant get it right up to the back of my desk so the 32" screen is a little to close.

It's really that good!

Like a few other reviewers of this monitor out there, I've been searching for an upgrade from my Dell U2713HM 27" IPS 2560x1440 monitor for what seems ages. After playing the IPS lottery with the Alienware AW3418DW and Acer X34P, which both suffer from backlight bleed and IPS glow, I decided to give VA panels a shot. Still desiring an ultrawide, I then tried the Acer Z35P. While the glow was no longer an issue, the response time and smearing was.

I hesitantly decided to give this LG 32K850G-B, and I am glad I did. I've had to monitor for several weeks playing games like Deus Ex, Shadow Warrior, and Hyperlight Drifter and it has not failed to impress. Being a VA panel, backlight bleed and glow isn't an issue. Colors look good, and I don't notice any smearing. My unit did have two dead pixels I noticed on the first day, but after gently cleaning the screen with a microfibre cloth they went away and haven't returned.

The PPI is a downgrade going from 108 to 93 approximately, however it isn't as bad as I had feared. Text is noticeably less sharp when web browsing or doing work, but for games (and reading text in games) it looks great and I don't notice the difference. I do wonder if the anti-glare coating, however, makes the sharpness worse than it has to be, still that would be the only minor fault I have with this monitor.

Additionally, while I have forgone the ultrawide experience, 32" is huge and really immersive. At 16:9 it is also a benefit not having to worry about support, as support for 21:9 is often mediocre, requires hacks, or isn't available at all.

After upgrading to a 1080ti system I needed a G-sync monitor. Was slightly concerned about going from an ips ultrawide to a VA panel would be too great a difference to my gaming. Shouldn't have worried, this panel is amazing, very easy to set up, absolutely solid on my desk due to grips on the base of the stand and excellent build quality overall. The screen itself is amazing and haven't noticed any real difference in this compared to the ips panel. If you are looking for a great 1440 gaming experience then this is the monitor for you!
