38UC99 38" 3840x1600 FREESYNC IPS 75Hz WideScreen Super-Wide Curved LED Monitor

The world's first 38-inch curved IPS monitor. The 21:9 curved UltraWide QHD+ IPS Display is ideal for designers, photographers, producers and other creative professionals who need more room for big ideas. With exceptional picture quality and innovative features, this UltraWide monitor is for seriously professional creative talents.

The Wide Quad High Definition+* (WQHD+) resolution is four times clearer than basic HD, for stunning picture quality. Designed for display of advanced graphics on a wide screen, WQHD+ delivers an amazing 3840 x 1600 pixels.

With FreeSync, gamers can experience seamless, fluid movement throughout hi-res, fast-paced games. FreeSync nearly eliminates tearing and stuttering that can occur because of differences between a graphic card’s frame rate and a monitor’s refresh rate.

A monitor’s response time is absolutely critical in games. The 1ms Motion Blur Reduction feature will allow gamers to enjoy the precision and accuracy needed to play at a very high level. With a response time that is virtually 1ms*, blurring and ghosting are dramatically reduced to make the in-game action smoother and gamer reactions more.

Display 4K video, transfer data and charge a laptop or mobile device, all at the same time using a single cable with USB Type-C™.

Charge the battery of a connected device quickly using the USB 3.0 port. This port charges compatible devices much faster than typical USB 2.0 cables so waiting for a full charge doesn’t hold you up.

With a Bluetooth® connection, enjoy the music from a mobile device right through the monitor’s built-in speaker (10W x 2). The monitor’s speaker delivers powerful and vivid sound quality enhanced by LG’s Rich Bass function that covers sound under 85Hz for richer sound with impressive bass depth.

sRGB is the standard color space of ideal color reproduction. So, with over 99% coverage of the sRGB spectrum, this LG monitor is a great solution for professional photographers, graphic designers or anyone looking for highly accurate color.

On-Screen Control puts a host of essential monitor settings into a handy window for quick, easy access. Volume, brightness, picture mode presets, Screen Split 2.0 and Dual Controller and more can now be adjusted with just a few clicks of the mouse, instead of hard buttons on the monitor.

Customize your monitor layout for multitasking with the latest version of LG Screen Split. Resize and display multiple windows at once, with 14 options including four different picture-in-picture (PIP) choices.

hi all I've been using this monitor now for about 3 weeks and this monitor is absolutely amazing id been looking to upgrade from my 23inch acer 3d monitor for a few years now and a friend of mine brought one last year and he pushed me to buy one too and I'm over the moon with it stunning monitor and works well with everything u just about chuck at it. I'm running this monitor on a evga hybrid 1080 ti sc2 card and the graphics are absolutely amazing and clear. if u are looking for a monitor don't waste any time and buy this one now you will not regret it one bit. ticks every box for me thanks you overclockers great product.

Go Large !!

Love its size and the practicality of that. I game seldom but when I do its verry emersive. The on-screen controls are fairly easy to navigate once you get used to it and the screen refresh rate is 60 or 75MHz in windows by default so above average range. Please note a 1080 or 1080 Ti is recommended for anyone who wishes to game at full resolution on this otherwise for office and graphic designers lower spec cards will be absolutely fine. My only gripes with this monitor are the very short cable lengths (who has a powerful PC less than a metre away from their monitor? Also the bluetooth is constantly on even when disabled in settings. Regarding the cables, it cost me £40 to replace the 3.1 gen2 (40Gb) cable with an equiverlant longer lead one, which wasn't cheap hence the downgrade in star ratings. Can I say thanks to Overclockers for the excellent sale price of £899 at Xmas which allowed this purchase to happen, cheers!!

Definitely the best monitor I have owned to date.

Really nice monitor. Perfect replacement for my dual 20" Dell 2007WFP setup. Fantastic resolution, Great refresh rate, no significant blur that i can see.

I did have some trouble getting my current card (GeForce 970) to see the monitor and feed the full resolution (it would only display 1080p to start with). Finally managed to get a DVI > HDMI cable to work, but i will be replacing this with a Display Port cable in due course.

The only downside was the lack of Haribo in the box. Come on Overclockers, whats going on?

Excellent monitor !!!

I brought this monitor from overclockers to replace my 2xasus 24" 3d monitors - and can safely say i made the right choice. The 3840x1600 resolution is mind blowing.

I used my previous set up to have emails on one screen and Excel spread sheets etc. on the other. This truly high res monitor eliminated the need in one swift move.

I coupled this with a EVGA hybrid watercooled 1080 gfx card and now play 4k resolution games - and the graphics card doesnt even break a sweat.

The 38" screen is pure class. blu-tooth built in and also i now have the 75hz displayport cable connected.

I searched for this type of ultrawide screen and 4k res for ages, and Overclockers came up trumps.

thanks guys

Fantastic UW monitor, the ultimate all-rounder!

Bought this monitor a week or so ago to give myself a little treat for Christmas and have found it to be absolutely excellent! Had an X34 so didn't really need an upgrade as such, but the extra bit of size (plus the 4k UW resolution) was an attractive proposition :)

Whjat I got was more than expected

- Extra size just hits the spot for movie watching, it's great!

- The sound!! It's superb for a monitor and absolutely buries the X34 in this regard (and good enough to replace my speakers tbh). It's probably close to twice as loud as the X34 with very good bass. Very pleased about that.

- Very very minimal bleed (which my X34 had a bit of tbh). Never bothered me with the X34 tbh, but with some great space games coming up (inc Star Citizen) then I can see this was more of an issue than I suspected. The LG is fantastic in this regard :)

- Gaming wise (with a 1080) it's almost on a par with the X34, but I have to enable the 75hz ULMB setting on the LG and switch on Fast sync in the nv control panel to get it as good as I need it to be (considering how good the X34 is with its Gsync). Any other settings just won't do, but I plan on switching to an AMD Vega card once out so I can use Freesync.

Overall I'm v v pleased with the switch and would def recommend it to others looking for the ultimate UW monitor.

For pretty much pure gaming (if using a nvidia card) then get an Acer or Asus UW screen with Gsync, they're v v good for that. If you're looking for a better all-rounder then get the LG, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do! B|

I'll be creating a thread in the Monitor section in the forum soon, so any questions about this then don't hesitate to ask.

This Monitor is Amazing!

I've been looking for a monitor upgrade for a while and am so glad I waited for the 38". I had decided to go for the 34" LG curved screen but if your going to spend over £700 on the 34" then don't bother just spend a little extra and go straight to the 38". You get sooo much real estate you won't regret it! Its the perfect size for my setup. I sit just over 2ft away from the monitor and to be honest i wouldn't want any bigger. I occasionally play the odd game (aiming to game a bit more) but mostly do productivity work, photo and video editing etc and this is the perfect monitor for that! The colours are vibrant with plenty of presets or your own custom setup. Thankfully on mine I have virtually no back light bleed. I will be testing some games in the future as this monitor supports Freesync (75hz DP only) and 1ms blur reduction which i currently have OFF at the moment. I'm personally not interested in the internal speakers or Bluetooth audio and wish LG hadn't bothered spending on internal audio as most people will have decent audio setup (also might have made the monitor a bit cheaper). Plenty of ports in the back and charges my iPhone which is handy. Nice stand and very easy to fit but mine is now wall mounted. If your after a new ultra wide monitor but not a big Gamer then get this! No HARIBOs!! OC what the hell????
