The features of the Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 3-pack in detail
The Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 features a clever and unique design, with the fans including contact pins and being connected via a simple plug-in system. Multiple fans no longer have to be connected individually, which saves a lot of time and prevents cable clutter.

Additionally a fluid dynamic ball bearings ensure smooth operation and improve durability. Since friction is reduced, the fans can run at higher speeds without greater energy consumption. The UNI SL120 fans have a maximum full speed of 1900 rpm with up to 31 dB (A) under full load. They also run quiet with 58.54 CFM airflow and 2.54 mm H2O static pressure at full speed

Each fan includes 32 digitally addressable RGB LEDs. As well as that an RGB and fan controller board is included. This is operated via software and enables users to set both fan speed and illumination effects.

Good but basic

by Dahl Prince star_border star_border star star star

I have just installed 9 fans and the controller in my PC they were easy to install and the low volume of wires was the selling point for me! They run very quiet can barely hear then even at full speed. Cooling is great CPU is running super cool under load. They look great, simple and sleek. HOWEVER, having been a corsair user my entire pc building life these feel like a big step backwards for me. The user software is about as basic as it Could be without only using static colours. The software offers a very limited range of lighting effects and more limited customisation. No pre made or custom made profiles can be imported, no game reactive profiles is a huge bummer. Software is buggy and sluggish, not responsive and I had to shut down the programme and reopen it to correct the fact it shut the rgb off in a couple fans of its own free will (connections were fine btw). Having used iCue for the last couple years this feels prehistoric and honestly...has ruined the fans for me. I will keep then in and tinker and play about and have to stick to a profile I like when I find one and hope it grows on me.My advice...buy these if you haven't used iCue, if you have do not buy them. Wrapping your head around the simplicity of these and the software is tough and frankly boring.

Amazing with a downside

Everything about them is incredible. Great lighting, great build quality, great airflow and great cable management, however... With only one wire running from the control module to the motherboards fan header for the PWM signal some motherboards (mine included) don't see that you've got fans plugged in and therefor they don't work all that well with motherboard software (Fan Xpert4) or even in the BIOS as it cant see the fans RPM. To remedy this I've run a fan splitter from the motherboard into the module and the fans effectively running the fans off the motherboard and RGB from the controller. this isn't ideal as your running more than one fan of the one header (make sure to read what you can safely run of your own motherboard before trying for yourself)This allows me to control the fans with PWM within the BIOS or operating system and also control the RGB along with everything else with the motherboard sync option in L-Connect. Its just a bit messy and could be improved, my 40 Antec ARGB fans can manage it so for a 75 set you would expect them to be able to. Id still buy another set however, I'm hoping that if i was to add another set of fans to the module it would all work as expected but we will see.

Impressive & innovative

I bought the triple fan pack with controller & 3 more seperate fans. I wasn't sure what to expect but once they arrived I was extremely happy with the quality of the products. The fans simply slide together and are powered by a single cable that plugs into the fan controller. So for my 6fans(3top & 3front of case) I only have a total of 2 wires. The fan controller still has room for 2 more connections which would mean if your pc supported it you can have 16fans connected with only 4 wires going to the hub making cable management so much easier.I am a big fan of the rgb of these fans as I feel it is more subtle than competitors, the L-connect software used to control the rpm/rgb settings is a decent piece of software although it could do with some improvments in terms of being able to save custom presets for rgb/fan rpm.I find the fans are audible around 1200rpm although it's not enough to be annoying overtime especially ifyou are just listening to music/watching youtube/netflix. I find once the fans are set to around 1400rpm they begin to make more noticable noise that can become fatiguing after a while. Although I feel this is partly due to my case being fairly open design as it's the Raijintek Nyx Pro. Overall I must say I am extremely happy with these fans & would recommend this Kit of 3 fans and a controller to anyone who is looking for a new set of case fans.
