not a durable as mx518

got one of these for my laptop as the mx518 has gone out of production. had my mx518 for 3/4 years now fantastic mouse. had the g400 becouse it was ment to be an upgraded version of the mx518. within under a year the cable inside the mouse had shorted and the mouse stoped working. very good mouse to use but just not as durable as the old mx518

Step backwards

I previously used the G5 for many years and after almost 1 year using the g400. I have to say that I am quite disappointed. The mouse works and most people would not notice the difference. But being a quake live player I need the fast precision. But with the g400 I find that it sometimes drags across the mousemat without the movement actually being represented on the screen.

The only other negative I noticed was the clicking mechanism and the build of the mouse overall compared to the g5 does seem cheaper.

Don't get me wrong it is still a well built mouse and for the money one of the best you can buy. But compared to the G5, a bit of a step backwards in my opinion.

If the mouse wheel on my g5 did not stop working I might be tempted to go back to it.

Excellent

Bought this to replace my old Gigabyte gaming mouse, cable broke somewhere on it and it stopped working :(

I've always been a fan of Logitech speakers and headsets so i decided to give this mouse a try. It is a "Gaming" mouse which means its weighted slightly heavier than a normal everyday mouse. No driver, but as someone said if you have a net connection its easy enough to get the drivers for it. Although it does work out of the box with no drivers anyway.

When you do download the driver though the mouse driver and program has a LOT of features which was surprising for a mouse of this fairly low price. You are able to set the DPI sensitivity to your own liking if the default isn't sensitive enough for you, it even has presets already in the driver for various well known games on the PC platform.

All in all a very good buy if you want a lighter than normal gaming mouse without the 30 billion buttons some gaming mice has.

Great mouse for the price

Great mouse for the price
Feels great to hold
Works well on FPS

Only slight complaint is that the scroll wheel has to be pressed quite far down (in comparison to my old mouse) - but it's still easy to press

Uber thumb comfort

Negatives...
No drivers in box, no biggie if you've got an internet connection though.
Mouse wheel a little bit too much pressure required to push it down (but I'll get used to it)
The two buttons behind the mouse wheel feel awkward to press, although I won't be using them anyway.

Positives...
The "thumb rest" on the left side of the mouse makes my thumb feel very relaxed, very comfortable.
No flashy lights like on my old razor mouse.
Cheaper than razor mice.

3600 DPI and 1000Hz refresh for under

Nice, but slightly heavy

A very nice mouse I have been using a little over a week ago. Better than my Razor, which is fricking aweful to hold. This one is much better designed.

My only negative is that the mouse is slightly heavy which can tire your fingers (the two rightmost smallest fingers which I grip the right hand side of the mouse with.

MX518 Replacement

Very simple yet very effective gaming mouse for people looking to step up their game. Very responsive, high build quality, smooth movement and up to 5 user defined sensitivity settings which can be switched on the fly. A worthy successor to the MX518.

Great mouse

After a week of use, I have to say this is probably the best mouse I've ever used, coming from a Gigabyte M6800 (which is a very good mouse I might add).

The mouse is comfortable in my hand, and the buttons are exactly where they need to be.

I do have one problem though, the scroll wheel seems to be loose, it scrolls up or down when you push softly on it.

Other than that, fantastic mouse 4/5.

Brilliant

This mouse is really fantastic. It's basically a G5, but instead of little features like weights and dpi lights, you get a more sturdy build quality, and rubber coated grips on the sides.

There is one slight problem though. The scroll wheel really isn't up to scratch with the rest of the mouse. It requires a lot of force to click it, and rubs up against the plastic on each side of it unless scroll it directly down the middle. It's perfectly usable, but not as good as it should have been.

On the whole though, I'm very happy with this mouse, it is a joy to use and at

This is the best mouse I have ever used, yes it's that good. The shape is perfect?

Finally found my perfect mouse.

Excellent Mouse

After having seen how successful the MX518 had been amongst fellow gamers I felt obliged to make this my latest gaming mouse; and I don't regret it. It feels excellent in my hand, great grip and control complete with excellent software. They did the right thing by taking a great mouse and adding a few extras. 6/5!
