new revision september 2013

Bought this at the beginning of the month, looking on the box it says military class 3 components instead of MC 2 as the webpage states so this maybe another "upgrade" this card has received being the revised version that fixes the fan problem.

The fans are fixed. Stress testing the card on kombusters gpu burn in the temps never went above 63 degrees and the only time i thought the fans were noisy was when i manually bumped them up. I can barely hear them. Cooling on the twin frozr 3 is really good. Bf 3 sessions again, never makes any loud noises and temps are 62-63 even without my side panel fans on. (my psu is fan up, drawing away hot air, can't tell if this actually makes a difference)

Running it with AMD driver 13.4, the (13.8) beta drivers didn't fair to well, so i switched back. Playing Bf 3 64 player MP on ultra- everything on and this card don't even sweat it, averaging 80-90fps (FX6300 CPU, o.c @ 4.5Ghz).

I have not even overclocked this card yet, it's still at factory overclock of 960Ghz. Memory clock= factory, everything still a factory out of the box settings and i know this card can be overclocked like crazy as it's designed for this in mind using solid state components.

I got game vouchers for 8 games with this card including bioshock infinite and crysis 3, that plus the crazy

Very happy

Took delivery of 2 of these *new revision* for crossfire a couple of weeks ago. So far very happy, no problems at all. They run cool and quiet. Idle at around 30-34 degrees in Windows. Up to 54/57 degrees in Dayz and BF3, on standard auto fan profile, at 1920x1200. Maxed out the default 'locked' OC sliders in Afterburner (1100@1575), and yet to try higher. The 2 I received are 8+6 pin power sockets. As a handy bonus, the brushed alloy looks great too. So, touch-wood, all is well so far!

Best graphics card i have ever owned

This is by far the one of the best graphics cards out their. it can handle a lot of modern games on ultra with great framerates. It also came with 9 great games thanks to ocuk and a lovely bag of haribo LOL. Also no problems with fan speed it has definitely been fixed in new revision. Only draw back of this card is that its HUGE and only fits in my case wit a inch too spare. Great card

New Revision also broken

Just taken my replacement *New revision card back due to random crashes followed by 100% fan, ranging from after 1hr to 3hrs ingame, even had one getting to Rift's title screen. Only had the *New revision 2 months, replaced it with KFA2 760GTX after full refund (Thanks Overclockers).

Awesome Card

My current setup
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
AMD bulldozer 8 core 8120
Asus M5A99X EVO
16GB Dual-Channel DDR3

Awesome card playing BF3 on ultra settings and getting around 80 FPS.

Comes with Crysis 3, Bioshock infinite, Drit showdown, Shogun2 and Farcry 3 at the time I purchased - and enjoyed a free mini packet of Haribo

New Revision

I now have new revision model, and extremely impressed. Runs silent and cool and hardly see/hear fan speed go above 40%. Great manufacturer's OC to go with it.

With Q6600 (non-OC'd) and pretty nice settings in Crysis 3 and Farcry 3, I'm still getting 40+ fps.

Very Impressed

Great litte card!

I got mine yesterday and it seems i got a good one that has the voltage set to 1.1v so it runs cool and quiet.
I played skyrim for 4 hours and it barely got over 55oC though i do have good airlfow in my case. The fans barely got over 44% and ran silent, well i couldnt hear anything over my normal case fans anyway.
Runs everything at 1080p on my I7 930@3.8ghz brilliantly.
The card itself is very heavy and well made and looks very stylish when installed.
Overall im very happy!

Fans

I brought this yesterday, got it first thing this morning, and when i put it into my system, and it wouldn't send a signal to my monitor, when my 6870 worked.

The fans sounded like they was working at 100% load for a number of hours on a demanding game, like Crysis 3 for example. But turns out to be a fault.

Despite it being the 'revised edition', there is still clearly something wrong with this product. So hoping that my replacement will work

Jeff 2013-04-09

Great card...dodgy diodes.

I got one of the new revisions on Saturday , but it still has the 100% fan speed at 55 or so degrees. I've just sent it back for rma and really hope the next one works ok, since it's a phenomenal card.

Mark 2013-03-29

Great card when below 60c

Got this card after RMA'ing an EVGA 660ti that died after 5 days. Works great in most games (near silent and cool) apart from Farcry 3 where the fans go mental at 60C, and also Crysis 3 after a while, though the performance is still top notch. Just a shame about the noise. Awaiting RMA reply & new revision as I'm happy with performance.

Good Card

Got this card A few weeks back, when I first got it it was playing up getting hot and loud so I tried changing the thermal paste and its now working a lot better. Got it up to 1200 core and 1700 memory on 1125 core voltage and the temp are mid to high 70's on sleeping dogs on ultra and that game is using 100% for the card.5/5

furqan malik 2013-03-28

perfect card for good price

got this about two weeks ago. running this with i5 3570k. play every game without a sweat but sometimes the fans are pretty loud. but still the performance is very good. i hope the fan issue can be solved.

Gigi 2013-03-08

Very good card but...

Has the faulty diode problem which makes the card bump the fans to 100% when reaching 60C, disregarding any fan control software. And believe me, its very loud at 100%. This seems to be a common problem with the current batch of these cards as confirmed by other persons on various forums.

This is quite a disappointment since the card has one of the best coolers on the market, has a solid build and is highly overclockable.

Great Card

To simplify this review.

My current setup
Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 965
M4A89GTD-PRO/USB3
8GB Dual-Channel DDR3

So far its allowed me to play any AAA games I've thrown at it in Ultra/Maximum GFX settings.

Comes with Crysis 3 and Bioshock at the time I purchased - and a free mini packet of Haribo
