Because of its simple interface, it's easy to learn, but it packs a lot of powerful features like an integrated benchmark utility called Kombustor that can check your system performance in benchmarking mode, or run as a stability test.

Superb Graphics

This was to replace my ageing GTx580., which benchmarked on Unigine Heaven at 1338. Couldn't believe the 280x score-----over 2100 on 1125/1600mhz. Runs cool, fans seem reasonable to me, performance is crack on.
No regrets .......... For the money, this delivers !!!!!

Good gpu....shame about the fan quality!

Bought this card just over a year ago and ran it in a 24/7 mining rig for a couple of months. During that time both fans developed annoying noises/whining (common fault) and started to intermittently stop, which was a complete pain and not expected for a graphics card costing over

Lovely 5 star

Had my 280x for 2 months now and it's giving me everything I've asked for.

Idle temps are around 35c ( depends on room temp ) in my Antec 300 case

Gaming Gw2 max setting - 50/60c @ 50% fan speed. Fan are still super quiet at this speed.

Also have it running 1100/1600 on the overclock

Great card

Great for mining

Have a mining rig built with these, Now have five of these and to date have been great. Have had issues with some with fan rpm slower than others but OCUK came to the rescue and RMA`d these.
Achieving around 740KH on Scrypt mining with some reports of these hitting 780+ if overclocked

Superb - runs everything thrown at it.

Bought this from OC cheaply during a Christmas deal. Was about to go for one of the other 280X's but the price for this was too much to turn down. The 280X comparison reviews I read rated this pretty highly so when price is factored in this is a great deal.

I've been very pleased with it. Combined with my i7 4770K it's running every game I play in ultra with 2x msaa at 1080p. BF4 is going at 60fps with ease. It's also very quiet, I've not heard any difference in noise yet, no coil whine or such like.

The HDMI out also converted with no problems to DVI, meaning the DVI-I connection would be used with my older VGA monitor.

Quiet and good performance. But had some

These cards performs great, and very quiet compared to some other cards I have used. I have three of this cards in a mining system where the temp. doesn't exceed 75C and not overclocked.

Within a week one of the card started having fan issues, like grinding noise when it goes over 60% speed, so returned it to OcUK and got one back shortly after. GREAT OCUK SERVICE ONCE AGAIN!

My friend had 2 cards DOA out of five he purchased, so there could be a faulty batch.

3 start for the cards, 5 stars of OcUK.

fantastic card

this is a fantastic card bought this on Christmas day when i noticed the deal that was on something like 50 pounds off! now that ive had it in my system a while i can say its a fantastic card runs everything on ultra at 1080P.
noise its a very quiet fan design i cant hear it at idle or in games only when the fans are at 100% it is noticeable but it has never gone up past 50% on its own i had to set it to that just to see what it sounded like im also a fan of amd's zero core when the pc is at idle the card runs at around 300mhz to save some money on the electric bill and ramps up the clock speed in games to about 1500mhz without the need of any tweaking!

Quiet, but just not good enough.

Extremely quiet card. When I turn on my PC I have to double check every time to see whether my PC is on or not. And that's what I was looking for, a very quiet card. But performance wise, it is poor. I'm running this with an i5, and I can tell you my 6950 had no issue running FIFA 14 maxed out. This card is struggling on medium setting. Although I'm now able to run games like Crisis 3, I still think my 6950 was better. The drivers are terrible too, a right mess with the 7970. This will be my last ATI card. Going to give Nvidia a try.

Silent Power

I got this card for

Very Very Happy

Bought this card to replace a HD5850 that was getting a bit long in the tooth for my second machine as my main one runs with a nvidia 760GTX after a bit of testing i swapped out the gtx for the R9 as it ran much quieter under stress and to tell you the truth blitzed it as well

As one or two people have stated bellow i also got a bit of coil whine so with a bit of swapping about with power supply

Great card, glad I picked MSI

I had no idea what brand 280X to get but in the end I decided to get this MSI and I'm glad I did. The performance is great and it's built very well. It feels solid and actually made me feel like it was a really premium product.

This card is very cool and when playing Battlefield 4 on ultra it only gets to 62C! Not bad for a power hungry card. I have not noticed any coil whine or anything and the fans are pretty much silent, even when gaming. I cannot hear it over my case fans.

If you are thinking of getting a 280X I would recommend this MSI. It's certainly worth considering as it's built well, has a good cooler, good performance and a 3 year warranty.

Cool, quiet and fast

My previous card was a rather glitchy ASUS GTX570 DC2 which had to be underclocked due to faulty RAM, and reading similar stories of the new ASUS 280x's with DC2 still having faulty ram, I was skeptical of getting any non-reference card. But reading many reviews I opted for this card as it provides exactly what I need: it is very quiet, isn't over-sized compared to similar cards and runs cooler than normal.

Various applications would give me 80C at 40% fan speed (1800RPM) according to MSI Afterburner (which is a really awesome app!).

The only reason I am discounting one star is because if the card runs at fastest fan speed, there is an unexpected "coil whine" as I presume it's called. Luckily it idles at about 30C and maxes out at 80C so no need for the fan to get to maximum RPM, otherwise I would have an issue.

Cool and Quiet

Ordered and arrived next day, this card is very nice, runs BF4 on ultra at 1080 easy, card doesn't go over 65 Celsius. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

cool quiet and packs a punch

really cool card with really cool service (minus not getting a bag of tangfastics lol), great OCing card which i have overclocked stable at 1125 mhz core and 1600 mhz 6400 mhz effective memory with a max temp of 69

Powerful but very quiet

I had to take back a high end card from a well known brand that had irritating fan noise. The staff at the overclockers shop were brilliant...thank you, well impressed. I then bought this. It is the quietest graphics card that I have used and my cards go back before the ATI 9800Pro. No add on lights etc, just gets on with the job. Even though it is basically a rebranded 7970 I highly recommend this factory overclocked card that keeps cool as well...and it is two slots only. Will keep an eye on MSI stuff now.
