Very Impressive Card

I purchased this to replace my HD7970 setup, This is my first MSI card and the first thing you notice taking this out of the box is the build quality is fantastic. This is a very solid ridged card with total cooler coverage even the support plat and back plate assist with heat dissipation

Once installed the next thing you notice is in normal operation ( windows & low load etc ) this card is totally silent, as for running under load this card runs as I would expect and GPU when being push and the fans increase with load but are not overly load at all 10/10 from me.

Also I was so impressed I bought a second one four weeks later.

Excellent card

Upgraded from a 7850. Build quality is excellent as is the performance. Currently getting 100-120fps on Battlefield 4 maxed out settings at 1080.

Fans are by no means silent whilst gaming but not too bad and it's a nice fan noise if you know what I mean. No annoying frequencies.

Only negative is that the card does run pretty warm, but no big deal.

Excellent, quality card.

I've always been a fan of MSI's GPU's and this graphics card is no exception.

The build quality is amazing and paired with the included backplate I cannot fault it aesthetically.

I've come from 7970's in crossfire and I can tell you that the improvement in terms of heat output and power consumption are immense! Plus in terms of performance it outshines the crossfire 7970's and has none of the problems with compatibility. I'd thoroughly recommend it!

Fantastic Card

I'm thoroughly impressed with this card. It's extremely well built, weights a ton yet retains it's structural rigidity, thanks to the sexy backplate and reinforcing brace running through the card.

Performance is top notch - thanks to the 15.7 drivers I'm noticing improved scores compared to the official reviews.

Word of warning - the default clocks for this card are 1080 for the core and 1500 (6000Mhz) for the memory. To enable the advertised clockspeeds of 1100/6100, you have to download MSI's 'Gaming App' from their website. One button in that program enables the advertised clockspeeds - I've added this program to startup so I don't have to remember to change it every time.

All in all 10/10 for this card - 8GB of VRAM means it will outlast those 970/980's, and the performance in DX12 games will be considerably higher than what we've seeing so far in DX11.

Great Upgrade From A 290

Ok Runs very quite even at 80% fan speed.
Planetside 2 has gone from 45 average to 64 fps
All this coming from a r9 290.
Worth an upgrade? Yes very much so. The card and specs we were expecting no.
