Free Games

The amount of free games available has slowed down from other sources but the Epic games store always delivers with its weekly giveaway. If you’re looking to bulk up your game library there are two games available this week from the 27th of August until the 3rd of September. Hitman 3 has been announced for release on January 2021 and if you’re yet to play a hitman game the now free 2016 Hitman release is a great time to jump in. You play through the eyes of agent 47 and travel around the globe eliminating various targets in a range of creative ways as you see fit. The expansive map and detailed level design mean there’s plenty of choices when it comes to executing each assassination which increases replayability with different scenarios every time you play.

The second freebie from the Epic games store this week is the Shadowrun collection. The bundle includes Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall and Shadowrun Hong Kong. It’s a cyberpunk-themed turn-based tactical RPG with an attractive art style and very positive reviews on Steam so it’s well worth trying it out. Crysis Remastered is an Epic Games Store exclusive:

Can it run Crisis? Is a long-lasting meme that has never vanished from the internet since the notoriously demanding game was released back in 2007. Crysis remastered is sure to join the ranks of Microsoft simulator which has been torturing PC’s everywhere thanks to the beautiful graphics and demanding hardware requirements. Crytek recently released a brand new tech trailer which showcased some stunning new visuals with HDR support, enhanced graphical settings, 8K textures, raytracing and DLSS. It’s a noticeable improvement over the original trailer that was released in June and subsequently caused Crytek to admit it needed more polish and delay the game due to a negative reaction from viewers. The text at the end of the tech trailer revealed that Crysis remastered will be available on September 18th and we just found out it will be epic games store exclusive. There’s no news on recommended specifications just yet but with a version available on Nintendo switch it might not be as bad as expected. Click the thumbnail to watch the trailer.
