Streacom Announces The DB4 & BC1 Chassis
Streacom DB4 & BC1 Chassis
Aesthetically Minimalistic, Functionally Ingenious. Launching two new chassis towards the end of November, Streacom is set to bring about a unique fusion of artistic design and technological wizardry.
Visually striking yet fully-functional within its design, Streacom's BC1 was designed and engineered directly for technical professionals as well as the overclocking community. When setting out to create the ultimate Open Benchtable, Streacom focused its efforts on answering one simple question; How can we design a fully functional benchtable that is also 100% portable?
Fabricated from machined, anodized aluminium, with an integrated carry handle including pre-fitted legs and standoffs. Delivering a product that's user-friendly, completely toolless and as expected 100% portable has finally been achieved. Providing full compatibility for motherboards of all sizes while maintaining a weight of just 1.82kg and a thickness of 8mm, the versatility and portability that the BC1 manages to attain proves to be as visually distinct as it is functionally convenient.
Taking a bisymmetrical approach with its cube-style form factor, Streacom's DB4 is a fanless chassis that utilizes a self-cooling heat sink mechanism via the means of its own exterior. Built with premium-grade aluminium with a silver sandblast finish, the DB4 takes advantage of removable side panels and a universal CPU cooler – proprietary to the chassis in order to achieve its unique cooling system.
Providing support for 5 x 3.5" drives or 12 x 2.5" drives, as well as GPU clearance upto 200mm in length, despite its minute size and compact-nature the DB4 certainly proves adequate for a decent range of hardware compatibility. Along with support for external media in the form of a slot loading DVD drives and 2x USB3.0 – in order for Streacom to achieve such a design, owners of the DB4 will have to purchase one of Streacom's own proprietary power supplies. – ZF420 or the Nano Series.
Launching at £108 and £270 respectively, the BC1 and the DB4 will be available for purchase on the 29th November.
