What’s special about death stranding on PC?
If you’ve already tried death stranding on PS4 you might be wondering if its worth also picking it up on PC. Supposedly it will include a bunch of exciting content and features, including Photo Mode, ultra-wide monitor support and a higher frame rate for super-smooth gameplay. This is all bound to enhance the death stranding experience for PC players and it will be fantastic to see these changes in action.
The PC edition of death stranding will also feature content from one of Valve’s most iconic franchises, Half-Life. With Half-Life Alyx also coming out this year it’s great to see some cross over content from the two prominent studios.

What are the system requirements needed to play death stranding?
There hasn’t yet been any official announcement as to what sort of PC you’re going to need to get the best experience playing death stranding and the product page on both Steam and Epic games gives us no clues. However, there have been a few websites publishing estimated specifications which are listed below.
We've finally had an official announcement on the specifications required for Death strandings PC release. The minimum specifications are slightly higher than originally estimated but should be achievable for most if you're willing to play at 720p and 30fps, which puts it below the PS4 version. The Recommended system requirements are split into 30fps and 60fps variations. Those aiming for 30fps will need an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or better paired with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 570 or better. The graph below lists the recommendations for 60fps as we know that's what most PC enthusiasts will be aiming for.
|Minimum System Requirements||Recommended System Requirements 60FPS|
|Operating System||Windows 10 64 bit||Windows 10 64 bit|
|Processor (CPU)||Intel® Core i5-3470 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200||Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600|
|Graphics Card (GPU)||GeForce GTX 1050 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 560 4 GB||GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB or AMD Radeon RX 590|

Will Death Stranding run on my PC?
The current predicted system requirements for death stranding are reasonably tame. Minimum requirements feature graphics components that were released all the way back in 2015. It’s safe to say that if you have invested in a mid-tier gaming PC within the 5 years you will be able to at least run death stranding in 720p.
The minimum specifications required to play death stranding are very reasonable and any entry-level to mid-tier gaming PC should give you a good experience. Obviously playing at a higher resolution or refresh rate will require more powerful hardware and recommended system requirements are what you want to be aiming for in order to experience the large open world of death standing in all its glory. A reasonably powerful system will be needed to take advantage of the exclusive PC features. Surprisingly for a new game, only 8GB of RAM is recommended but 16GB will give more headroom when paired with a CPU and GPU that’s up to the task. You'll also need 80GB of hard drive space which is more than predicted but still reasonable.
