The term "esports" is being used more frequently in the gaming world, and the market is growing at a rapid rate. The esports scene was worth $750 million at the start of the year, and is now estimated that it will be worth almost $2 billion by 2018!

Competitive gaming is massive in countries across the world, with millions of dollars offered in prize pools, and gaming teams being sponsored by massive brands, such as McDonalds, Nike, Addidas, Intel, AMD and lots more. Some gaming teams even have their own double decker buses, similar to football teams with their branding on the side.

In the UK, esports is small in comparison however; the growing rate of the scene is very fast and will eventually catch up with the rest of the world.
