Better than expected

I had heat issues with my Zalman Kit and bought this to try rersolve a FPS issue in Arma2"DayZ". i installed the software that came wit the product and from the first boot it was instantly impressed. The slick software giving fuill control over the Product and the cooling was fantastic.

Idle it runs at 26/29'c when just browsing and underfull load playing Dayz, Arma 3, WOT or WarThunder the CPU never reaches temps exceeding 50'c. Pretty dam impressive for games such as Arma where its CPU dependant.

Great Buy, just a bit tricking to fit thats all. Ive a huge Case so i could fit it at the top where the watercooling rads have a place.

Better than h100i (just)

Bought this to replace a h100i that had pump problems. At first I wasn't too impressed as idle and running temps were no different to the h100i but load temps are a different story. 100% load temps were 53c on the corsair and are now 50c on the kraken (FX8350 @ 4.75GHz).

Great Performance

Got this for my new 4770K rig and I don't regret it at all. The performance of this thing is probably the best you can get from AIO coolers. If you are in doubt between the single fan version and this one and you have space for this double 140mm fans just get it.

I am not overclocking my cpu as I don't need it yet, but it keeps it cool on idle @28/28/25/27c, (and cooler) then I ran a 3DMark 11 on the extreme preset 1080p and the hottest I've seen was 52/47/48/44C.

Just for you to know, I have this set on to the silent preset as this could work on extreme preset and go very loud but I don't really need it/ want that noise (it is not the quietest but you always pay performance/noise) and it is reasonably quiet on silent but can still hear it.

The software is not great but allows you to customize your LEDs to whatever you want even set a color for high temps, strobe intervals/fade. However it does not show temps unless you install a 3rd party software.

I've looked to replace the fans for quieter ones but I've yet not seen fans with same performance and quieter..

First time I installed a rad so I refereed to the manual just in case, *the manual does not advise or show different screw types for mounting it and I could not see the tiny ones in the box, but fortunately realized the crews I was using would not go any further and was able to take them out before I'd break it and put the smaller ones on.

If you wonder what case I used, a well cooled phantom 820. Great service from OCUK.

Kraken X60

Fantastic product.... when it works. Had fan rattle problems (still waiting for replacements... Nzxt customer service is awful) Replaced the stock fans with Noctua NF-A14 fans & the software failed. The fans would randomly stop unless controlled via the BIOS. If this product only works with the standard fans, it should be in the specs.

Can I give this 6 stars?

Excellent cpu cooler. I'm new to all in one water cooling units, but couldn't be more impressed with this. The installation could not be easier. The fans are extremely quiet, and the ability to change the cpu cooler LED colour between so many options is a great touch. No need to worry about it conflicting with your current lighting colour scheme. Most importantly though is how it performs. Amazingly! I have this on my overclocked i7 build and it runs cooler than ever. Can't recommend this enough!

Best AIO cooler

Probably the best AIO cooler currently available. Bought this for my new fx 8350 build. Using this in push and pull with akasa vipers on 4.8 ghz, temps running prime 95 test don't even go above 50C on my cpu.

Cpu cores should be lower than that since theyre always lower than the actual physical cpu temperature so that means there is plenty of room left to overclock. I've only had this kraken for a day now, I might push it to 5.2 for toms tests
