KRAKEN X61 280mm AIO Water Cooling Unit

The Kraken X61 is the first consumer closed loop cooler with an integrated variable speed pump. The state-of-the-art variable speed pump keeps noise to a minimum during use without sacrificing top end pump power.

The X61 radiator is optimized to run on a single fan without losing static pressure or airflow due to the added radiator thickness, providing better temperatures than competing 240mm coolers in push-pull.

Our 280m radiator platform gives 36% more surface area over comparable 240mm coolers.

Integrated Hue and digital fan control
NZXT CAM allows you to control your Kraken X61’s fan speeds, Hue lighting, and other custom cooling settings. The Kraken+ CAM module is also available in CAM Mobile, allowing you to monitor temps and adjust your kraken fans and Hue remotely from the convenience of your mobile phone.

Whisper Quiet

My first foray into water cooling went without any major hitches. I wanted to try a water cooled system for my latest build and this seemed an easy starting point rather than messing with filling pumps and siting pipes.

Took me longer to install as I didn't want to make any mistakes, the manual wasn't very good and wasn't very clear as to where to put all the connections. I had to resort to some YouTube videos and some of them were just as bad. There was no real information on where to connect the fans, does it go to cpu fan or water pump connector on motherboard? I plumped for the cpu fan - still don't know if it's correct but it's working so hey...

I sited the radiator at the top of my Phantom case and find the pipes trail across the front of my memory sticks a tad which is a shame but no big deal breaker.

Good Product - Easy to Install - Great Temperatures

Very easy to install though the documentation is not great. (would be full marks if doc was better though most things are obvious. Things like which way around to install fans not covered though you can see picture of this installed on the internet. CAM Software works fine and controls fan etc. but could be more flexible. I installed this to reduce noise and to have more space in the case as compared to the enormous air cooler I had. There is no noise from the water at all (gurgling, bubble noise) so I I wasn't sure the pimp was working at first it was so quiet but temps and CAM confirm what is going on. Both things achieved and my overclock to 4.6ghz easy with good temperatures.

Very Good.

OK so let me start by saying this was to replace my custom loop. I had a entire EK custom loop that was brilliant. However it was getting on my nerves changing water blocks each GPU upgrade and just lots of messing about. So when i got my 980ti i kept it on air. and got this for the CPU. Well..... AMAZING it keeps my cpu cooler than when i had a custom loop, OK granted my loop had a 980 in it too but i had a 340 and 240mm rad in the loop. It also only keeps it on average 2c lower temp but from all of the AIO coolers out there this is by far the best. Its near silent. Looks much better in the flesh and easy to install. I did however replace the standard thermal paste with IC Diamond as the standard stuff looked awful and would not make contact with 100% of the CPU as there was not enough and its the terrible hard stuff. Saying that im yet to find any CPU or GPU manufacturer that knows how to apply thermal paste. I would suggest getting yourself some premium thermal paste when you get this and you will find very very good temps. I would say this is as close to a custom loop temp as your going to get without doing a custom loop. plus in my case lower temps than my custom loop. Downsides... The hoses are a bit long but if you have a large case you will thank this. dont have any bad words to say about it.

This is probably the best all in one CPU cooler i have purchased i have my core i7 overclocked to 4182.2MHz from 3500MHz and the temp always stays at about 35c.
I honestly didn't think this cooler would be so good but it is it was worth the money..

Very Good

I am well impressed with this baby, running it on my pile driver 8350 and what a difference from heat sink and fan, temps are 9c on idle and 26c on full load, not overclocked yet will be looking at that later on.

One thing i need to point out is that you need to install the cam software before plugging in the internal usb header otherwise your cam software will not work correctly and give you fuse readings on your cpu. still not sure what this video

got this for my intel 4790k. temps avg 26c idle and less than 40c full load at stock speed. it is winter so these may change in summer, but there is a lot of margin esp if I increase fan speed which are currently at 25% speed (840rpm)
this system is surprisingly quiet and I love it. also easier to work in case and not a dust magnet like my old noctua cooler was. software is simple to use. due to it's size it may not fit all cases. my 2 cents
