not perfect, but I'd happily buy it agai

This is a large case, but as it was my first build, I wanted a comfortable amount of room.

It has a number of nice touches: the hardware kit is pre-divided into different bags (though one stand-off was missing); there are holes above the PCI slot screws so that a screwdriver can go in straight; that sort of thing.

The fans are very quiet, but not exactly silent (as I only had 3 hard drives, I disconnected on of the drive-case fans, which helped a bit); and in an ideal world I'd rather have PWM fans controlled by the motherboard rather than having to adjust the fan speeds myself. Vibration (either the left side panel or the plastic front) is an occasional problem, but it's easy to sort this out when it happens.

I'd happily buy this case again.

Great case

I've had this case for nearly 3 years now and it's great. Lots of space inside, good airflow, the fan control is useful and so too is the LED on/off button on the rear of the case. If I'm pushed to think of an issue the only thing I can think of is that it's quite hard taking the top fascia off for when you clean the case, but depending on how often you clean the case it really isn't much of a problem. Be warned that the case is absolutely massive and it is also surprisingly heavy.

Amazing Case

Got this case for a first build and really happy, the airflow is great and the fans are near silent on min and still quiet on max. my CPU hasn't got above 32 degrees in this case would recommend to anyone

quick tip

im looking to buy this case but found a tip i must share.on a forum i read, nzxt will provide you with the remaining fans as a replacement part.all you have to do is email nzxt with a proof of purchase and a request and you get free fans.apparently as long as its in warranty you can get any part for the case even ones not included in purchase free.

1st Class Case

After reading reviews here I decided to take the plunge and replace my old gaming case with this one. What a massive difference. Great space to work in while installing your motherboard, and the cable management is good.

The real difference is the cooling. My Mobo and CPU runs at least 5 degrees Centigrade less than before, with much better more efficient airflow it really has made a massive difference.

Top Marks, buy one.

More intimidating than a Lamborghini Revent

Best case I've seen, so much room & Great air flow.
Only problem I had is one of the side fans weren't put together properly so when plugged in it just snapped.

I've just built a new system in this case and was really pleased with how easy it is to do a tidy build. Lots of space and the quality of the case and accessories is excellent.

On top of this, it's a very quiet case, even with two optional fans. With everything up at full blast it's still quieter than my old rig. Extremely happy.

NZXT - The best

Well, I've had this case now for around 10 months. So it's had it's fair share of use and transportation to LAN's and the likes.
First of all, this case SCREAMS quality. As soon as I got the case out of the box - it was shiny, huge, sturdy.. And it still is now.
The shiny plastic covering on the front and top is fairly prone to scratching, but as I had the black one it was barely noticeable. The fans and fan control make this case. All fans on lowest speed its practically inaudible - and I could even use one of the spare fan controls for my Tuniq Tower! However, to get the best out of the fans you obviously need them to be a bit quicker - and that's when it gets a bit noisy.
The power and reset buttons are well made and don't feel cheap - as with every other NZXT case I've owned.

The only gripe I do have with this case (less an issue, more of a preference) is that it really is a HUGE case. And it's very heavy.
Just something to consider :)

Overall, perfect case. Quality case.

Almost Perfect

Simply a brilliant case. Lots of room, brilliant quality, easy to work with and has lots of air flow options. Brilliant for cable management as well. All in all it is the best case i've worked with.

My only complaint, and it's not even really a complaint, is that the new model of the case comes with 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0, instead of 2 USB 2.0, which in essence is good, except that my motherboard doesn't have any on board USB 3.0 headers so I now have a useless USB port on the front.

Apart from that it's pretty much perfect in my opinion

Best case i've worked with so far. Loads of space, Well built. Even though there is a bit of plastic here and there its mainly solid. The drive bays could do with being metal instead of plastic, but with the screwless installation and having to bend it to snap the HDD into place, it can't be i guess.

and if you're as anal about cable management as me, there are loads of ways to hide cables round the back and out of sight.

Will last me a long time.

Well worth it

A great case both from functional and looks perspective. I upgraded to this from an Antec tower case and couldn't be happier .

The case has great design features like the clip/snap in fixtures for HDDs and 5.25 drive bays. The case has the wiring intelligently designed and has loads of internal space for airflow and components. I have a Corsair H70 which has ample room inside the case.

The case comes with 3 fans and even after installing additional 200mm and 140mm fans the noise from the case is barely noticeable.

Sure it's a big beast but if you have the room then it's a great investment.

Just Awsome!

Great looking case
Very well made
Plenty of space to work with
Extremly quiet

Highly reccomended!

Simon 2011-03-26

Very Chilled

This case is very easy to cable manage, Plenty of room to work in and easy to fit your gear. I fitted an extra NZXT 140mm fan to the front and a 200mm to the top as an intake fan alongside the 200mm exhaust fan, was going to use the 200 for a side fan but would not fit with my heatsink (Xigmatech dark knight) but as it is it is kept very cool with that fans on their lowest setting.

My only grip would be the fan controller LED lights, 2 have not worked since the 2nd day. Had no reply from NZXT either with regards to replacement panel and wouldn't hassle OcUK with it because I would not return the case just because of this.

All in all though if you like the looks, go and get one you won't regret it.

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely mind blowing, the moment this baby came into my room i just ripped it open and fell in love with it, the design is great, its big and the fan / lighting control makes it even cooler, easier to handle.
This tower is very big, it can hold whatever you have to offer it.

Christian 2011-03-04

The Phantom

This case is king, it's huge, and has 3 huge fans, (2 * 200m and 1 * 230mm) except for the side and the front fan, i managed to fit the h70 on the rear fan, while the top 200mm was still there, I LOVE IT

Made of pure win

Ok so I had my old case for a long time but due to the size of my new gfx card I needed a case to fit the components. Firstly this case is so quite I can actually sleep while it's switched on if I turn the fans down to quite (pc next to bed) second, all my components run below 40c without any custom fans/heatsinks all default that came with my components.

So in summary if you need a big case to fit your bits in, buy this you wont be disappointed

David 2011-02-10

It's Great

This case is great! Its really big so can handle anything you want to put on it. Its easy to use and work in. Everything is screwless and well build. Case is solid. Probably one of the best built cases I have seen. I'll be using this case for all future builds.

Karl 2011-02-09

Excellent case

I bought this to house my Sandbridge bunder (from OCuk), an excellent case - lots of space, all fasteners in separate labelled bags and very nice fan controls.
There is even a button on the back to switch off the fan lighting for those of us who don't want the PC glaring at us.
Two provisos:
First - hard drive cable routing could be better. If you fit the sound proofing kit there isn't a gap to get the power cables to the left side of the case. I got around this by reversing the drives in the carriers and only using the centre fixing which seems up to the job.
Second - the reset button is easy to hit by mistake.
Still very happy I chose it as it holds all seven drives plus the Venom cooler.

Great Case

HUGE case, very easy to work in, with more than enough space for large GPUs and CPU heatsinks/fans.
Looks very nice, the included fans are good, cooling and relatively quiet. The inbuilt fan controller is a nice touch as is the top mounted USB & SATA ports.
The cable managment system is good, keeps the case tidy and makes it easier to access the MOBO.
Very easy to use and a nice case. (my first build since a P4 prescott)

Doug 2011-01-19

NZXT Phantom

NZXT - Got the case but 1 problem the side panel is a bit stiff when you open it or close, and the motherboard is a bit out of line, and 1 200m LED fan, NZXT should of LED all the fans apart from that the case is worth buying I was the unlucky person with the case problem but with adjusting it I got it slightly in line.

Massive Space. Plenty of room for cable management. Big high volume low noise fans. Almost impossible to hear. The price is right, the quality of construction is great.
Needless to say I am impressed.

Ardley 2011-01-10

looking good

This is a great case. It is a full tower so it is very easy to work in. This case has plenty of fans for cooling with dustfilters. The cable management is nice and keeps the interior looking good. Paintjob is also excellent and the front door is sturdy.

Berry 2011-01-05

Phantom case

This case is simply amazing. The fans are very quiet even with the control turned to max speed on all 4. The ability to remove both doors and route wires through the back side of the case to clean up the wiring is wonderful. Also installing the DVD unit was effortless. Their innovative screwless rails was actually very simple to use. I would definitely recommend this case.

Acton 2010-12-14

great case!

The case is very nice really big. Great color the plastic has some cool curves almost like an alienware case. Fan controller is also great. Easy to put together. also the tool less design is great too. The door on the front of then case is sweet strong and sharp :)

Jacob 2010-12-10

quality case

This case is amazing, it has excellent air flow and keeps my PC real cool. It's easy to route all the main cables in the backside space provided. Everything about it is quality. Heavy, sturdy case that will last a long time.

Chris 2010-12-09

nice case

What a bargain! This case made putting together my new system really easy compared to my old cases in the past. Lots of space inside, great cable management, and sufficient fans. The fancontroller is doing the job very good and makes my case looking even nicer.

Julien 2010-11-16

wonderful case

What a very spacious case. I had no cooling problems. Everything fits nicely and was also easy to install. Had actually fun in building my pc.

Jessy 2010-11-13

Friggin' Awesome!

I had pre ordered this case and got it earlier than expected from OverclockersUK which was a bonus! But when I got it out of the box, it blew me away! The amount of thought put in to it is incredible. NZXT made cable management an effin' breeze when it comes to the Phantom Enthusiast.

The only downside to this case is when you buy your optional NZXT fans to go with this case (I wanted all the fans to match) well.. it's a tad loud when they are all maxed up.. but that's to be expected of any case right? However, the stock fans supplied are extremely quiet, even turned up full.

I would recommend this product to any PC enthusiast, even to beginners as it's so straight forward to work with.

Chris 2010-11-05

top+ case

Plenty of room for my pair of Radeon HD 4850s. Moves tones of air, dropped my temps 10C idle from my old case. Fan controller works well. A big plus is being able to turn off the LED at night that is.

Austin 2010-10-22

amazing case

This case lets you route and manage cables with ease. It also has incredibly good airflow! The craftsmanship is the best i've ever seen... everything fits together so well.

Alex 2010-10-20

phenomenal case!

Was doubting to buy this case or the Corsair 600T. I've read that this case has a good fan controller supporting high end fans. One of the many reasons I choose this case. I can tell you am happy I took the jump and bought this phenomenal Phantom case :)

Peter 2010-10-08

Very nice and large case.
When you open it up you are a little disapointed with mainly plastic componants, such as the bays.

The installation of HDD ect are great, very easy and no screws needed.

ALL your wires are fed through the back and then back into the front of the case very neatly.

Front, top and both side panels can be removed for easy installations.

PSU sits on a mount at the bottom and has an air vent directly under.

You are provided with an army of screws. Great stuff.

JohnM 2010-10-07

Quality case. Its got an amoured look to it and its solid, very well built. Its alot bigger in the flesh and lots of space inside.

Delivery was great from OcUK
