Noise Dampening O-Rings for Cherry MX Keyboards - Black - 125 pieces

After months of testing various products, we finally found an O-Ring size that provided perfect feedback whilst doing an effective job at damping switch noise.

Mechanical keyboards are amazing and with the gaming market becoming more geared up for using mechanical boards, OcUK has taken note of the increasing demand to reduce the only downside of Mechanical Keyboard use. Noise.

These O-Rings are designed to be rolled onto the stalks of the underside of Cherry MX mechanical keyboards. Each O-Ring serves as a damper for the key by reducing the 'throw' of each switch as well as softening the 'bottoming out' noise when a mechanical switch comes to the end of its 'throw'.

Whilst not removing all noise entirely, many of our testers have stated that it reduces noise and clatter from the keyboard as well as giving a softer and more pleasant typing experience.

Compatible with any Cherry MX Switch based mechanical keyboard.

Wife loves them

My wife has been complaining about the clicking of my Corsair K70 cherry brown for a while so instead of shelling out for a new keyboard I thought I'd give these a try. The sound has been dampened by around 40%, which is perfect and has definitely helped. Bit annoying to have to do every single key individually but that's the price we pay for accuracy and resiliency! As usual arrived quickly and more rings than I needed, just the service I expect from OCUK.

Perfect for my Ducky One (KB-21A-DK), with 2 o-rings spare. It reduced the noise the keys made when they bottomed out and made it even more comfortable to type. I recommend buying this (albeit it is expensive) with a mechanical keyboard.

Good product but expensive

OcUK Tech Labs Noise Dampening O-Rings for Cherry MX Keyboards - Black - 125 pieces are overpriced imo. I ordered from this site and was very pleased with the black ones.To me they feel similar if not the same as the red ones from WASD

Worth it

I thought i would grab these after reading the reviews on here, then watching a few vidoes on Youtube. I think they are worth it, my Corsair K65 is much more quieter and nicer to type on now. I had to fashion a key puller out of some paperclips, cost nothing and did the job :D

I would recommend these.

I put there on my Ducky Shine 3 - MX Cherry Red.

It's used a click a little if / when I bottomed out the keys, however these have massively improved my typing experience.

Keys bottom out a little more than they used to (since the travel is a little lower) but it is cushioned nicely and has made it significantly nicer to type on.

Just about to buy a second set for my other Cherry Red keyboard.

These are just great!

Bought these on a whim, not expecting much difference with my CM Storm Mechanical Keyboard with Cherry MX Browns. Boy was I in for a surprise. As soon as I had these installed, took me around 30 minutes to do all my keys, I could feel the difference and I don't think I could ever go back. My keyboard feels more comfortable to type on now, and weird, but it feels more quality as well. If you are in doubt about whether to get this product for your mechanical keyboard or not, don't hesitate and buy these, you'll thank me later, and so will the people around you.

As above

Fitted a set to my ducky 3 on blacks, recommended.

Softer, Quieter, Comfortable

You'll instantly feel the benefit of a softer keypress with O-Rings that helps make typing less jarring. Other O-Rings packs I've checked aren't as generous as this OcUK's. In total it took 30 minutes to carefully take off all the keys with a keypuller and securely roll these high quality O-Rings all the way to the end of the key stem.

I'm using them on the Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard (Cherry MX Red switches). Reds are the loudest clicky switches and O-Rings have helped soften it a lot and bottom out less with slightly less travel. At one point I was going to have to buy another gaming/work mechanical keyboard and forgo the responsive of Reds to Browns, now I'm more than happy and consider o-rings vital!

“Custom keycaps and a set of o-ring mods are both great ways to add a little extra flair and customisation to your Cherry MX stem keyboard, without spending a huge amount of money. If you want a unique look or need to reduce the noise levels when you’re typing, it’s really just a small investment away.”
