GeForce GTX 970 JetStream 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980/970 is powered by the next generation NVIDIA Maxwell Architecture, giving you incredible performance, unmatched power efficiency, and cutting-edge features.

Maxwell is the most advanced GPU architecture ever made, designed to be the engine of next generation gaming. Inspired by light, it was designed to solve some of the most complex lighting and graphics challenges in visual computing. For the first time, gaming GPU's can dynamically render indirect light using the new VXGI (Voxel Global Illumination technology). Scenes are significantly more lifelike as light interacts more realistically in the game environment.

The GTX 980 is the worlds fastest GPU and the GTX 970 offers the most advanced performance in its class. Each delivers 2x the performance of previous-generation card, bringing new gaming experiences to virtual reality, and ultra resolution 4k displays.

Enable the detail of 4k monitors, on a 1080P display. DSR produces smoother images by rendering a game at a high resolution, then downscaling it to the native resolution of the display using advanced filtering.

GeForce GTX 980 and 970 cards support tear-free, super-fast NVIDIA G-Sync monitor display technology including 4k. Together, these technologies provide the most immersive and competitive gaming experiences possible.

Get VR Ready with GeForce® GTX.
GeForce® GTX graphics cards provide a powerful next-generation platform for the ultimate immersive virtual reality experience. Immersive VR requires seven times the graphics processing power of traditional 3D apps and games. NVIDIA's unique set of features-such as multi-res shading-mean you get the right level of performance, image quality, and latency to ensure your VR experience is nothing short of amazing.

Great card

Bought this specifically because it is compatible with my old GTX670 water block. First tried it with its own cooler to check it was all working and it happily and automagically ran at 1366 (not the stated 1304) at around 55C and silent even under full load (folding@home).
Once the block was fitted - very easy to do, fitted perfectly - the card now is running at 1500,

Great card!

I ordered this to save some money. I wanted the EVGA FTW but I can only say I'm glad I went with the Palit. Great card, very quiet, it will only be 1-2 fps slower than the EVGA and for the money saving, it's a no brainer. Will pick up a second one when needed but this just eats everything I've thrown at it so far!

Fantastic clocker but...

This is a great card for it's price range, I had the clocks up to 1534 on the core with temps in the mid 60's during a number of sessions of heaven. It was totally smooth. But I was pretty gutted as I had to return the card RMA as the right fan was failing. Anything over 50% fan speed and you'd hear a loud ticking noise. At 80% or over as a test it was unbearable and the card had to be returned. If it wasn't for the failed right fan I would've kept the card.

There was also virtually no coil whine which has plagued the 970's. Great card let down by a bad fan design.

Have tow of Those bad Boys and they are

Card really very efficient.
I have two of these and I must say that I am very happy.
Overclocked to the max, reached only 82 degrees
In my opinion this is a very good result :)
It is not too loud.
And most important of the lot does not charge-current :)
My previous graphics card is a Gigabyte AMD 7990
I would recommend to anyone amd fanatic, 9xx series from NVIDIA

Great bit of kit

I bought the card about 4 weeks back. And running games like Crysis 3 2160p, with low low temps, not going above 72c
And as for overclocking so so much headroom. I have found the magic speed for ram at 8044mhz and Core 1653mhz
This may be a little different from card to card, But ram speed seems to be the norm with a lot gettting stable overclock around 8044mhz
I will in near future be buying second as frame rate is a little low 2160p in Crysis3
Buy this or the 980, And you will be very happy

insane card

I bought one of these to replace a R9 290 pcs+ which had to have the ram downclocked to stop driver crashes every 20 mins, GG AMD!!
had this 970 about 2 weeks ish now and the card/drivers are solid, no crashing, black screens, overheating.
runs cool as a cucumber at 48c idle, and with my over clock of 157MHz core 208MHz memory with +0.087mV extra I get 79c under load.
5.5 for COUK service and product, this is a big thing for me as ive refused to buy into team greens ethics and whooping price tag, but with the release of the 9XX series there is no long any reason what so ever to buy AMD.

Amazing card from Palit, with out the bo

I bought this card. I expected it to be a little faster than my GTX770 4gb, And it was. It was a 30% faster. I ran Heaven benchtest with No overclocking Boost 1453mhz in 1080 ultra max tessellation 82 fps, Cpu i5 4670k 16gb ram 2133mhz
And next tried a overclock, with stock cooler stable 1660mhz core, ram 7050mhz, max temp stayed low 69c
Ran Heaven with same settings 89fps
4k 3d game playing is here, and this card dose it, World of Tanks without overclocking maxed 2160p 28 to 38fps
I plan to get a second in near future, Just so can double up on fps in 4k
Do not bother with any other card. Get Palits 970 Great
I had Palits 770 4gb, what ran perfectly good. And this is doing the same

I've had this card a little over a week now and the performance is insane. Alien:Isolation with SDR running at 4% and still 130-140fps. my only gripe with it is the fans don't kick in till it hits 62c and mine sits around 60 during gaming so i get the fan spinning up and then turning off 3 or 4 times an hour, but its so quiet that its barely noticable with a headset on so im not even going to bother knocking off half a star for it.

Great Upgrade

Great GPU. Fans do not spin at all unless it reaches over 60C - Whilst gaming it remains quiet whilst fans go up to 40%.

Maxxed out most games with 60fps with ease (bar crysis 3 on ultra)

Great upgrade from my Radeon HD6870 - Expect this to last around 3 years or so.

* Loses 1 mark for using the weird mini HDMI connector (i didn't have one so had to shell out extra for this)
* I'm getting a weird burst of fan noise (like the fan spins to 100% for like 1 second) i'm not sure why.

Outstanding card!

I got this as my old Sapphire R9 270X was starting to lag behind in newer games, and with Alien isolation and borderlands the pre-sequel coming out i had to upgrade! Firstly, i was skeptical about the card as i had never used them before and in all honesty if the asus card was in stock i would have gone for that but i'm so glad i didn't. from the second i put the card in and turned the computer on there was already a huge difference... no noise, at all, from the card. Even when playing games on max settings temperatures barely hit mid 60's and i cant hear the fans spin at all.

I was slightly concerned beforehand about the cooler as i saw a video of someone saying it was flimsy, but it isn't its strong and it looks great. The white LEDs on the fans are a nice touch too.

Ive been playing a variety of games all day including cod ghosts, Alien isolation, watch dogs and dead rising 3 and i am finally able to pull out max settings, max textures and still be above 60 fps, in isolation i am even able to render in 2k and downscale to 1080p which makes it look much better, with no noticeable performance hit at all.

If you are reading this and skeptical about this card because the brand aren't as well known as msi or asus etc, don't be. Its fantastic, its strong, its quiet and its got some serious balls!

Even got a free bag of haribo from OC, what's not to love?
Thanks guys, In the future i'll be definitely picking up another for 2-way sli, but at the moment nothing makes this card break a sweat.

Great price and superb performance

Just bought this to replace my aging GTX560 and this card simply blew me away. The frame rates and the low temperature from the 970 even when under load are amazing and to think it is far more energy efficient than the old one. I also noticed that this card comes with a beefier factory overclock than most others which was another attraction not to mention the price simply great value.

Honest review

Bought 2 of these this week. Great performing card and the overclocking headroom is massive. Just sliding the voltage and power limit up nets 1500MHz on both cards. No coil whine from either card which is nice.

Now the down side, the heat sink doesn't feel that solid. The small back plate doesn't feel solid either. This could have been fixed by adding some proper supports to the card.

So this gets a 4 from me because I feel they could have done a better job with the cooler.

Great card, great price, quick delivery.

Ordered the card to replace RadeonHD 7950 3GB. Service from overclockers was exemplary, delivered next day befoer 9am on standard DPD delivery. Very impressed. However I didn't get my usual bag of haribo, so a little disappointing!...

Anyway the new card is amazing, particularly for the price. First thing I noticed was how quiet the card runs, even under full load in BF4 at 3840x1200@60Hz. It is completely silent at idle and watching videos, as the fans don't kick in until you hit about 70 degrees, although I will probably try and modify this profile with 3rd party tools.

Only niggle (apart from the missing sweets!) is the card needs a 'mini HDMI' to 'full HDMI' or 'mini-Displayport' to 'full Displayport' Adapter that are NOT included in the box. Very strange, but luckily I have a box of such things, so it didnt stop me, but I could see this being a problem for other people.

I am so impressed with the thermals and low power utilisation that I am almost certainly going to get another for SLI.

Got one of these cards Sunday after release and OMG! this card is truly the king in price performance i stepped up from a hd 7950 and i have had big jumps in the fps in all my games at max 2560x1600. This isn't what has impressed me i knew i was gonna see a jump in fps what has impressed me is how well this cards Overclock on the stock volts im running +174mhz on the core and +235mhz on the memory. The cards sips power which leads to great temps at idle 28c fans 0% yep not even spinning and after 3 hours of looping valley max temp was 71c with the fans at 40%. Cards are fantastic value for money most reviewers are saying don't upgrade if you have a gtx7xx/R9 2xx i would say go for it if you can get half the fund towards the new card you may not gain in fps performance but you will gain ton's of new features and run cooler and quieter.
