Networking & Wireless LAN

Networking is a very big part of the modern computer whether you are linking your computer to a shared printer or shared method of storage or to the internet. There are many ways of communicating on a network both wirelessly and physically.

Tp Link, Asus and Netgear are a few of the names most comonly found in the industry when it comes to networking. This section will be helpful for finding some of the following things.

  • Routers - Update your existing internet Access point from your ISP with a router that is faster and more capable of dealing with the demands of the modern house. As everything switches to wireless routers are becoming more complicated with things like beam focus and multi band becoming common when you look at new routers. Access speeds of 1900Mbps mean that a router can provide speed to yoru computer that allows it to get the best out of the ever increasing bandwidth offered by internet servcie providers.
  • Switches - Switching hubs are vital for interfacing many physical devices into a network offering unmanaged plug and play switches or more comprehensive managed switches for networks which require access being more tightly controlled and configured.
  • Wireless Access Points -  These are vital for increasing the range of your Wide Area Network
  • Adapter Cards - Give a PC wireless access or improve its existing network speeds with a simple pci/pcie add-on card.
  • Wireless USB These adapters enable you to imporove a PC or laptops wireless connection without taking it apart by simply plugging the usb port in to one of the many USB slots on the pc or laptop.
  • Network Cables if you use ethernet you'll need a cable offering a selection of cat5 and cat6.
  • NAS - Network Attached storage is a great way to share and back up all the important media on your home or office network. Offering the ability to hold terrabytes of data without having all the noise or heat inside your computer.
  • Powerline Adapters - These are a new way to connect computers to a network without leaving cables around the house whilst also not experiencing the downsides of wireless network access. Perfect for gamers and streamers.
