quiet and large

Probably the quietest cooler out there and perfect for the recording studio.

Max temp (CPUID) on Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz is 80C would have liked lower.

Biggest drawback is it's size as it covers ram A channel on Z97X-Gaming 7. this restricts you to low profile memory.

the size

ok got this cooler with the rest of my x79 setup, ok this wasnt too hard to fit at first like what has been posted, because i had a full new setup so naturally the m/b is already out so i fitted the fan before installing the m/b, but this thing is so damn large, i wanted the fans to blow from the front of the case to the back of the case, but with the cooler this way around, i found i could not fit my graphics card into the top pcie slot, so by this time the m/b was installed, so i had to turn the cooler around but couldnt be bothered taking m/b out, was a bit fiddly but got there in the end, on the up side i have my cpu @4.5 and my idle tems are 22-32 according to core temp, load temps are low 70's, all in all a very good cooler.

Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler - Orange

I don't have one of these coolers, but I just wanted to say the other reviewer mentions the difficulty of fitting, IE needed to remove the mobo and all that. I think, unfortunately, that this is standard fare with today

Very Difficult

This cooler is very difficult to fit, you have to bolt a backing plate on to the motherboard first. You have to take your mobo out to achieve this!

Once the back plate has been fitted and your mobo is back in place you can try to fit the heat sync, you have to try to center the heat sync and line up 2 screws over the top of the back plate and screw down on to them, the screws are difficult to reach as they are in the centre of the HSF.

The fans are noisy and when the two are working blowing in the same direction you get a tiny humming noise from then, this is very annoying.
