Best keyboard I've ever owned

This is only the 2nd gaming keyboard I've ever owned. Last year I bought a Saitek Cyborg V7, which is not a bad keyboard but it's not mechanical and it's really big. I bought myself several Razer peripherals in March and I chose the most expensive keyboard I saw without doing any research...like a nub. After I opened Razer's lovely packaging, I gave the keys a go and my first thought was "Wow, this keyboard is really loud". It took a while to get used to but I ended up loving it. I eventually got self-concious and thought maybe my family members were annoyed how loud it was. They can't hear it.

I play with my Tiamat headset on, turning the volume up drowns out the clicks of the keyboard but now the clicks are like music to my hears. It's so satisfying to hear every key you press. I temporarily swapped back to the V7 for a test and it felt really weird. I missed the clicks.

Apart from being mechanical, the other pro's of this keyboard are definitely the LEDs and the grips. It's also a great weight, it won't move anyway. You can adjust the brightness of the LEDs too.

To sum up, it's an excellent keyboard. Not sure on the price, maybe

After finally making the change from my razor tarantula due to the keys wearing out, I opted for the blackwidow, the difference between membrane keys and cherry mx keys are just insane, the feel and sound of that click makes all the difference, as for aesthetics the matte black finish is great for keeping the keyboard fingerprint free keep this idea razor, also the new lighting is way better than previous keyboards, the frame is built rock solid without any flex at all, the only problem i can find with this keyboard is the keys wobble a little, come on razor you can perfect that :D

Love this thing, only had it a day or so but I love having a mechanical keyboard once more. The tactile response is top notch and I personally like that they went with cherry mx blues as I love the noise signalling I have actually ressed the key down.

The backlighting is superb as is the black matte finish of the keyboard. The Razer Synapse 2.0 software is also awesome, I love that with most of my Razer products now I only need one program to update drivers and manage configuration and have them saved in the cloud.

A really amazing keyboard and I can see me having this for a loooong time!

good job razer

Amazing keyboard , it is a little bit quiet than the previous model and the backlight is stronger, you need to use less force to switch the keys versus the 2011 model , well done
