Great Mouse

In comment to what snograt said, comparing this to wireless mice the likes of Logitech make is silly, this is a dedicated gaming mouse for a dedicated gaming desktop/laptop so being always plugged in shouldn't be an issue. It also doesn't use BT, which is bad for high end gaming peripherals.

The buttons on the side are superb, I too experienced difficulty when first using them but honestly after a few days of use you find your niche, I have and various people I know have been exactly the same.

The build quality is superb, exactly what you'd expect from Razer and the tracking of the mouse is also top notch.

Also another mention to the buttons on the side, if you are an avid MMO player this is simply the best mouse available, if you don't like wireless this can be wired and there is also a solely wired version of the Naga also.

Best mouse I have ever owned hands down and I have owned countless mice over the years.

A balancing opinion

Ok, this is a great looking mouse with some well-intentioned innovations. You need to examine the word "wireless", however. If you're used to the normal, Logitech way of doing things - a tiny USB dongle - and YOU HAVE A LAPTOP - this is not the mouse for you. It relies on having the charging base plugged in to a USB port at all times.

The 12 button pad on the side is a good idea, but maybe 12 is too many? My thumb is rather small, but I feel I need a thumb the size of a stylus to operate them with any sort of accuracy.

If you run a desktop, have childlike digits and money to burn, this may be the mouse for you.

Side note: I have a Samsung 7 series laptop. Like most recent lappies it comes with built-in bluetooth support. Why does it not just SEE devices like this? Am I doing something wrong?

Great mouse

Ive had this mouse for half a year now, all I can say is that I can not believe how reliant I have become with the side buttons, they are awesome! You can pretty much find a use for them in any genre of game. I play FPS and RTS aswell as MMOs, and I have found the side pad very useful, especially with the ability to create and map your own macros onto them with the excellent software. My only gripe is that the detachable side for switching grip types can become slightly uncomfortable when your hands get sweaty as they tend to stick to you due to the smooth plastic surface. Apart from that, great mouse! The most painless wireless mouse Ive ever used!

Great Mouse

The Razer Naga is a one of a kind mouse. The precision and tracking of the laser is fantastic as well as button placement.

Having played MMORPG games for quite a while, having a Razer Naga really does improve game play two fold. It allows you to have enough buttons to bind every ability which is key to optimise performance, whether it be in PVE or PVP.

Prior to purchasing the mouse I thought I would have a few niggles when playing FPS games, however this is not a problem. Having the extra buttons also can help within FPS games, being able to bind actions to the mouse can give quicker response in game.

Overall, the mouse is fantastic bit of kit and could not play at the level I now play at without it.

Best wireless mouse I've used

This mouse has really good build quality and the range that it works in is quite impressive too, the buttons on the side took me 3 days to learn how to use effectively, but the buttons can be applied to almost everything! as I play fps, rts and mmos regularly I have found a use for some to all buttons on the pad. It was about 2 weeks ago that I got my mouse and the battery can last me 16hours worth of continuous gaming on one charge overnight and still have more juice left in it! The only gripe is the side grips, as they are made of shiny plastic, people with sweaty hands like me can get half their palm stuck on it, but once you gets used to the mouse it really doesnt hinder you! so all in all 4 stars!

Ok now the Actually review.

After buying the normal Naga only 3 weeks before hand the first differance i noticed was the build of the mouse, The left and right clicks are much more clicky and need more pressure to press which was my only grape with the orignal, The forward and back buttons have been moved and they are now easier to push but this mouse is not so great for web surfing, however gaming!, You really cannot tell the differance between wired and wireless mode, It's fast.. like you wouldn't exspect it to be that good, Side buttons are just as easy to hit if not easier and have a better feel then the original, Adjustable side grips help you get the perfect fit which makes it easier for you to hit the side numbers. The added weight of the battery gives a nice feel to the mouse, Over all apart from the few problems i had listen below thisis a very good product if your into your MMOs this is the mouse for you they even have a selection of addons for MMO's such as Wow, Buy it you will love it.
