Great

As with anything new give it a week! Initially thought I'd made a mistake moving from my G9 but that was me and not the mouse - take the time to adjust it perfectly to your grip - marry it with a mat you are comfortable with and prepare for ownage.

Prevstix

Great mouse overall, i switched from using Razer mice to this, and all in all very pleased.

The reason im giving it 4 stars is a pretty major problem if you suffer from sweaty hands while you game! The screws used to adjust the mouse have rusted, therefore rendering them useless, and i can no longer change the mouse!

Hello Mr Headshot!`

What can I say, much better than my already much loved G9x.

Sniping is great with the button, allows much better tracking of targets at distance.

Rubber grips are brilliant and its the best build mouse I have ever had!

Awesome for BF3

Love this mouse. Taken a while to get used to it, but with my custom key mappings for BF3 and the sniper button for your thumb it's now a critical peice of kit.

Awesome

This is the most comfortable mouse I have ever held in my hands.
All fingers rest on the side platforms so that your hand is always relaxed. This allows for longer gaming sessions stress free.
Buttons are smooth and reachable. The body is solidly built.
One disadvantage would be the software. It is not very customisable... at least comparing to my previous kone+. And the mouse never remembers your chosen mode, so that you have to reselect it every time you restart your computer.
But anyway, I would still choose this mouse over any other at the moment. Awesome.

great mouse

fantastic mouse very comfy (takes a little while to get used to it) and its looks a great feature on my desk

Superb

Admittedly, my first 'gaming' mouse, I did a lot of research and eventually got this.

I've had it for a number of months now, and have had absolutely 0 issues for my uses.

Some people say it looks ugly, but it's quite a cool feature on your desk.

I know a number of people have said they had tracking issues, but I've tried it on a multitude of surfaces, and have had absolutely no issue. It's currently being used on a Steelseries 4HD mouse mat, and I must say after getting used to going up to 5600dpi, the improvements in FPS' were massive.

The adjustability is fantastic, unbelievably comfortable :)

The only people I wouldn't recommend this mouse too is people who want to play MMO's with it, as it does lack in the buttons.

I haven't actually found I need to use the software too much, but when I do, whilst it is a bit 'gamey' and not really clean visually (Personal preference I guess), it does work once you've got your head around it :)

Most amazing mouse ever

This mouse is worth every penny.

It glides accross any surface I have used it on and hasn't skipped a beat yet. The customization level really DOES make a difference. It isn't just a gimmick as I feared it might be.

It's so damn comfy and the fact I use ALL the added weights mean the mouse, or RAT :), stays where I want it to.

I use a 'claw' grip and this mouse really hits the nail on the head for me in terms of its size.

Do not hesitate to get one of these babies.

Excellent Mouse

Got this mouse recently, arrived very quickly, very customisable, very responsive and also despite appearances is very comfortable. Sure a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and this is a VERY solid mouse

The best mouse I've ever used

The mouse is very smooth, responsive and comfortable (despite its strange appearance). The adjust-ability of the mouse makes it possible to fit my hand exactly. And it is worth spending time to adjust it exactly, IME.
After seeing some reviews complaining that it won't track on a black surface, I bought a LianLi brushed aluminium mousemat to go with it, and the two work flawlessly.

Great piece of kit

!st thing as usual excellent service from O.C again. Now to the R.A.T 7 itself, being this is my first real gaming mouse I have owned i was nervous of buying due to the price. I think it is pricey for a mouse but it is an awesome mouse nuild quality is excellent and great custimisation level. My only real concern is that I have used standard mice for so long that this feels very strange to me, somthing I will get used to, getting better every time it is used. The DPI setting are great and the teflon feet make it glide with ease.
Pros : Customisation, looks, did I mention looks and build quality
Cons: A littler bit pricey for a mouse.
To conclude if you want a brilliant mouse with unrivalled looks and have the spare change to buy it then this is the mouse for you, but if you are in for an upgrade then there are other good mice to get from OC but it wont look as good as this one.
Ps get it quick selling out every where

Excellent mouse, with serious flaws

I've not had the RAT7 long, but I need to comment on the mouse ASAP.

The mouse itself is great, all the features work as promised, it's comfortable, feels solid, good action on all the buttons (Even the two thumb buttons I'd had misgivings about.) and both scrolls have an excellent response.

However, the assembly for the thumb rest causes the mouse to be raised on one corner, leading to instability. This video shows the issue very clearly; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkoeSFLy7Ak

Asking around in various forums from owners though, many people did not have the problem at all, even on hard mousemats, since my mouse unlike the one in the video tips even with the bolt for the thumb-rest undone, I've been forced to conclude either the build quality or the quality control isn't very good. I suspect this is the source of many of the conflicting reviews you may have seen on the web.

I love the mouse, but I cannot recommend it. Just be sure you can return it if you decide to buy.

Unique

Bought one of these elsewhere but it's a very good mouse. The twin laser has had bad press but with my razer destructor mouse mat it has zero problems and no lag whatsoever. The precision aim button is ace for gaming. The sheer customisation means it now fits like a glove - well, more like a gauntlet but still, you get the idea.
Not worth the bucks but no mouse over 45 quid is!
