Great performance yet to loud for my taste

- great performance for the price boost itself to 1900 - 1950mhz
- undervolt works like a charm (in my case 1.05v at 1960Mhz core will keep the clock aroun 1900)
- in par with 2070 super
- ok look, pretty sturdy
- overclockers service 10+

Cons (note I am using a not very well ventilated case):
- hot (hotspot and memory up to 90's)
- loud (fans at 50% louder than my vega64 nitro+)
- issues with the drivers (althoug getting better now)

- a nice card worth buying if you bare high fan noise (although that is subjective).
- performance champ
- I wish I would have bought nitro+ but it wasn't out when I bought this.
- I love AMD (using Ryzen right now) but they still have to work at the drivers and keep their gpu's power consumption and temps lower (maybe next gpu?). Unfortunately I'm back to nVidia.

Well impressed

A friend of mine recently got one of these and as he went away working for a week he left his PC with me to set up things for him. I was really impressed, this really compares well to my 1080 ti, it was was fast and quiet.

We had an issue with it when first set it up when the monitor just turned off and wouldn't turn back on whatever we tried but this seems to have been a psu issue.

In games I only saw two issues but I didn't test everything. Rise of the Tomb Raider crashed with the highest textures but still looked great at the next setting down, secondly Metro 2033 redux had black line problems on the floor in one early scene I played but not all, this was fixed by turning off tessellation. Both of these titles are pretty nvidia favouring.

If I needed to I would have no problem buying one of these for myself, and as I don't like what nvidia has done with pricing this generation I will most likely buy an AMD gpu next time. It is possible that the before mentioned Metro 2033 problem was down to the driver as I only saw it after I updated this so hopefully both of my mentioned problems will improve with time, as the drivers are still young.

This really was an impressive graphics card going from my week of playing around with it.

Excellent card i have no complaints and queit too.

One of the reasons i brought this card is the heat sink lay out it will exhaust out of the case instead of filling
the case with hot air provided you have the appropriate case. one word of warning amd cards don't play nice with msi after burner. if you have msi afterburner install and are getting randome green screen crash's delete msi after burner the amd catalyst driver will do the same as msi afterburner

Perfect for 1440p Gaming

Upgraded from a ROG STRIX VEGA 64 (which was overheating) and everything I had read said it wouldn't be that big of an upgrade, yeah they were wrong.

In 3D Mark I saw almost a 2000pt increase, AC Odyssey I can now run at 1440p Ultra and it stays above 60 FPS almost always (Vega needed high to stay over 60), Forza Horizon 4 same story, Ultra settings @ 1440p and 60 FPS+.

It's much quieter, much cooler, objectively it looks better too.

Finally it does HDR without making Windows look grey and washed out.
