Green IT is often equated with poor performance because high efficiency is usually only possible with limited power. The HDD specialist, Seagate, proves with the BarraCuda that the opposite is now possible. Although hard drives aren't typically the power guzzlers in a PC, the fact that the Seagate Barracuda is an economical model is clear.
It is therefore rather surprising that the HDD, despite a significantly lower power consumption percentage, enables a rich data transfer of 190 megabytes per second. The BarraCuda achieves this dream value with a speed of 5,400rpm. Nevertheless, it remains restrained in terms of volume development and offers a lot of storage space with 8TB.
The BarraCuda is very economical, quiet and at the same time enormously fast, when compared with the many HDDs of other manufacturers.

I got this to have as storage for my games, and it does its job perfectly. I get around 190mb transfer rates, which for a 5200 drive is excellent. I wouldn't recommend using this as a boot drive, and avoid unpacking to it. Otherwise it's a wonderful 8tb for a great price
nice size, perfect for all the photo work I do, just use it as a back-up drive for once I'm done. probably will buy aonther just so I have the room for future use
