very good I thought I should commnent on the post left by Damion Jones as he states in his review that you have to connect via the back jack panels and there is no ac97 connector.
It maybe that Didn't get all the connectors in package or perhaps some were mistakenly left out of the package. Mine came with both the internal audio ac97 header and the 2.5mm jacks. you simply choose which you wish to use and attach it to the header on the unit.
It is true there is a mass of cables with this unit and some careful cable management is required to keep things in order.
This is the older model which does not have the HD (Azallia) header most unfortunately. I also bought the newer model which looks slicker and does have both AC97 and HD header, but unfortunately the fan wattage is significantly reduced from the orignal model. I can't remember the figures exactly but I did look them up and it is reduced by a factor of 3 or 4. As soon as I plugged in my first standard fans it blew to channels.

I'm impressedPurchased this when i upgraded my case and was impressed with all that is on this for the price. The sata connection is a real bonus.
This did what i wanted it to do for me which was to control 2 x front and 1 x side fans on my case while giving me 2 extra temp zones to monitor. 6 settings for the fans and an alarm if it all goes wrong.
Good unit with lots of extras for plug ins and the dust cover on the front a real bonus.
The only trouble i had with this was fitting all the cables as there are alot and many where only just long enough to fit out the front and fit before fixing it in, but this could be due to the case i have.
4 stars from me due to the messy cables, but it did suprise me how good this unit was and what it offered.
Thanks yet again OCUK. good work

Not that impressedThe basic feel of this thing is good.
Its got plenty of features of that I have do doubt, but seriously, its lacking in the audio side of things... It connects externally to the back of the SoundCard? - WTF? Whats wrong with AC97 / Intel Connectors? There seems to be no way to have control of any more than 2 speakers and even then, you iwll have to plug them into the front instead of the headphones. Stupid, and not a very well thought out design, or perhaps a design thats fine for 10 year old Pcs but not these days.
Personally I am bloody annoyed I bought it. I only really wanted it for the Audio bays, and its no good at that.165 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes
