UnreliableI get about two BSOD's every week with this drive. It is a known problem and the apparent fixes only serve to reduce the number of BSOD's, they do not eliminate them altogether.13/01/2013

Great Potential....One you Flash the FlaGot this for my Crosshair IV Extreme. First install and reboots were amazing. The difference in boot up is just staggering, from the Windows 7 boot screen to desktop in under 20 seconds and this is with most of my programs installed including STEAM. However, after a few days the problems started, Corsair Forums are full of people with the same issues. In my case,Windows responsiveness would go downhill over 10 mins or so and then the SSD would just turn off (not wake up from sleep) or I would get a blue screen kernel error, reset did not work, a full power cycle was required for the Bios to see the drive again. Checking the drive showed it shipped with Firmware 1.2, latest is now 1.3.3, Update tool would not work on my AMD SATA, had to install Microsoft Drivers, flash the firmware and reboot twice. This sounds easy but took an age to find out and a lot of hair pulling. Only been 4 days since update but no blue screens or crashes since. If you buy one update and you wont regr!
et it.

Really nice for my iMacPut one of these in an 2008 24" iMac.
The 2.5" -> 3.5" bracket isn't full size so may not suit you case.

Drive works really well on MacOS X Lion.
It has halved the boot time and apps open almost instantaneously.
It's surprising how much quieter the Mac is with it.

If you are attempting this on an iMac make sure you have a Torex 8 screwdriver. It took about 4 hours to fit the drive without one.422 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes

BrilliantUpgraded from a Vertex 2E after it died on me. I cannot believe the difference it has made. Everything loads within a second or less. EVERYTHING! Came with 1.3.3 firmware installed and have had no problems so far even though some forums have reported repeated BSOD. P.S. Thank you for the Haribo OCUK :D406 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes

raid 0 - fantastic!Originally bought one of these from overclockers and subsequently another for a raid 0 set up with a z68 sniper 2 mobo.
With the latest 1.3.3 firmware these are blisteringly fast with 800 -1200 m/bs read speeds!
100 percent reliable ive had now issues/bsods whatsoever with w7 64 bit.
Buy one now!403 User found this Review usefullHelpful Review? Yes
