Argon SST-AR01-V3 CPU Cooler - 120mm

With the CPU coolers of the Argon series, Silverstone presents a series of coolers that are reduced to the essentials, but still boast state-of-the-art technology. All argon towers consist of an aluminum heat sink and several copper heatpipes. Thanks to the HDC (Heatpipe Direct Contact) technology, these are located directly on the processor's heatspreader and thus efficiently transfer the heat into the lamella tower.

Silverstone Argon AR01 V3: Tower cooler in TUF design
The Argon AR01 V3 comes with a 120mm 4-pin PWM fan that can be fully automatically controlled by a compatible motherboard. Because Silverstone now has some experience in fan design and an innovative vibration-damping mounting on the argon cooler is provided, each fan offers a great balance between air circulation and quiet operation. All coolers in the series are also compatible with the current motherboard sockets from AMD and Intel. Argon AR01-V3

Offered here is a strong tower cooler with three extra thick heatpipes, each with eight millimeters in diameter. Inserted into the base, they transport the waste heat into the 12 cm wide and 15.9 cm high radiator block. A nine-bladed 120mm ASUS-TUF fan-cooled fan design delivers a decent air flow of up to 70 CFM at full revs of 2,200 rpm, with no more than 38 dB (A). It can - throttled by pulse width modulation - but also act very quietly when it scoops air at just 600 rpm with just over 15 dB (A).
