Great Product

I do not usually go back and leave a review after purchasing something online but I felt I had to in the case of this thermal paste as it has made a big difference.

I never thought there would be a significant difference between the paste supplied in most cooling kits and the stuff you can buy that claims to do a better job. But after swapping my cooler I thought it would be an interesting experiment and given the small cost involved tried this paste.

I am using an i5-4670k that I did not over-clock when I performed the comparison. The cooler is a Seidon 120M. At idle my original setup was running at 17 degrees celsius (a cold Scottish winter!). After installing the Chill Factor 3 paste this was lowered to 12 degrees. When I tried running Prime95 the original paste would settle down at 54 degrees, with the Chill Factor 3 I saw temperatures settling around 35 degrees. I think this is a big difference! When I then tried over clocking the processor to 4.0Ghz the stress test temperatures hovered in the mid 50's, where they had been with the original paste running at 3.4Ghz.

Its possible the original paste had not been applied as well as the Chill Factor 3 because this product comes with a handy credit card style spreader that gives a really nice even coating. I did not have one of these to hand when I applied the stock paste that came with the Seidon 120M.

Even so, I think this paste has more than made up for the very small cost, its probably the most cost effective performance improvement I have made to my machine! Other aftermarket pastes may even perform better, but in my case this paste is evidently more efficient than the stuff supplied free with my cooler.
