Worth it.

Upgraded from an X52, to a T16000M to a WH HOTAS AND T16000M for us in Star Citizen.

Got to say, the moment you open up the packaging and lift out the throttle box and Joystick grip, you realise just how badly put together all other mainstream joysticks are (not counting professional/VKB etc).

Just flipping the toggles on the throttle is a delight, compared to pressing a button on the keyboard.

Using TARGET software you can programme the WH to press any DirectX key or keyboard combination, meaning all controls truly can be HOTAS.

If you've ever looked at this thought 'someday' - make that day today.

Amazing

So, I had previously been using a Saitek x52 flight controller. I am quite an avid flight sim fan ranging from IL2 - FSX etc. However, after a short time the x52 Z-axis gave way and wouldn't work efficiently anymore.

I decided time was enough - took a deep breath and bought the rather expensive Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog... Quite nervous at first that it was anything other than just a fancy box with buttons which set it apart.

I noticed - it was a rather heavy, robust framework for a joystick / throttle combo. I was correct, the thing is a beast and weighs a fair amount.

Functionality wise, this thing is perfect I am now playing DCS-a10c in all its glory and have managed to get it to function using T.A.R.G.E.T (software suite) with various other sims too.

This is one responsive, heavy duty joystick!

Absolutely amazing

Ok the price may seem high but if your into flight sims then this really is a stunning control system.
I got this to replace my old saitek X52 which i had done me proud but i was totally shocked at the difference.
The construction, feel and accuracy are totally amazing infact the whole thing just oozes class, Thrustmaster have really done a fantastic job with this.
All buttons and switches are programable via T.A.R.G.E.T software but Ive been using this system mostly with DCS A-10C which has the profile already built into the sim its just plug in and play.
A couple of things to take into account is that you will need 2 free usb ports and that there isnt any rudder control (i.e no twist on the stick).
If you are into your flight sims then this will give you years of enjoyment but I wouldnt recommend it if you just mess around in games like Battlefield or ArmA.
This really is a stunning piece of kit and it makes every other system feel like a childs toy.
