great out the box, better after modding

great value for money, doesn't feel cheap, big step up from just a normal stick for games like elite dangerous

however, i wanted more. i wanted all 6 axis of movement in analogue, something even the more expensive hotas sticks don't seem to offer. hotas sticks are designed for air not space so don't really 6 axis which leaves some axis on digital, on or off, full thrust or no thrust.

so instead of buying a more expensive stick i modded my new tflight. i stuck a 2 axis analogue thumb pad on the throttle and wired it up to an arduino following a guide online. that gave me all 6 axis in analogue and while i was at it i threw a ton of extra buttons on too.

now i have a hotas that's better in space than a far more expensive stick with at a fraction of the cost. i love my frankenstick

Great for Elite Dangerous

Bought this joystick especially for playing elite dangerous, I had a few other joysticks that just weren't that good.

Was searching for a decent joystick for a good price, was not willing to fork out crazy money for one.

This is great and makes playing the game far more immersive.

You can't go wrong with this joystick for the price, it's really a no brainier

Value For Money

Finally decided it was time to update my joystick (an old TM Afterburner) and I'm pleased to find it's current counterpart appears to be just as good quality, but with the added bonus that you can lock-out the twist on the stick.
the predecessor to this stick lasted about a decade before the sensors started getting jittery. having survived 10 years of abuse in heated dogfights in freespace 2 (and subsequently FS2 open) virtually all of the 'X' series of games. I cannot rate the brand highly enough.
I just wish they'd release something in that

Flight Simming on a Budget

This joystick is a good buy if you want something that doesn't lack in any important areas.

It takes up a great deal of desk space, keep that in mind. I have sometimes wanted to use a joystick in games like battlefield 3 but this isn't ideal as with the joystick on my desk, I have no room for the keyboard! A joystick such as the saitek fly 5 would be more suitable for games like bf3, this would free up space for all your peripherals.

Its great you can get a hotas joystick for this price, and for minute control of engines this is a winner.

The stick itself feels lightweight to me, and this is why I am docking a star. I'd prefer it if it was more tightly sprung.

The joystick was instantly recognised in flight sim x and all the important controls were instantly mapped to the buttons. This would actually be a perfect accompaniment to FSX on a budget, as the hotas provides you with a authentic feel of controlling aircraft.

I bought one of these (or a slightly earlier edition) about 7 years ago. I also own or have owned about 8 other joysticks. Microsoft FF Pro, Saiteks, one or two cheapies and of course the Couger Thrustmaster HOTAS - supposedly the best you can get.

This is the one I like the most. Because of the feel. Almost all the other joysticks have over strong springs or other mechanisms (eg, MS FF drive) that control centre return. This one does it with just that perfect feel. Not too tight, and definitely not too loose, just right. Additionally all the grips are very very comfortable.

The two sections come apart (there's a built in key to unscrew them, and if you then like, you can put them comfortably apart. Even has an attachment to balance it out when you separate them so it doesn't look or feel unbalanced.

My only ultra slight complaint is that it doesn't have enough buttons. But seeing as I still use it so happily I gave it the 5 stars it deserves.

Great for the price.

Upgraded to this stick from a Logitech Attack 3. Fist thing i noticed is this thing is HUGE compared to my old attack 3 stick, Having said that its a good solid, Well built stick, 12 well placed, Easy to reach buttons and a large sturdy base.

Use it to play Microsoft Flight Simulator X & DCS: A-10C Warthog.

For just over
