brilliant cooler

I bought this cooler to sit on my Q6600 specifically for overclocking, and all i'll say is WOW!!! My Q6600 is at 3.4 ghz, idle all for cores between 27-30 deg, under load the max temp is 49-55 across the cores.

Prime 95 stress test for 6 hours the max temp recorded on coretemp was 55 deg.

Very quiet fan underload, i have 5 fans in my case, front intaking air, top 2 and side fan expelling air, rear intaking air. my case ib coolermaster cm 690 dominator, and the Titan fits just nicely, make sure your case is big enough to cater for it, i didn't think it would fit at first, but luckily it did.

Brilliant cooler for the money.

load:45c

brilliant cooler. just 1 thing it's massive blocks 2 memory slots on the gigabyte MA785GT-UD3H

Check fitting first

This MAY be a great cooler, but it DOESN'T FIT on an MSI 790fx-gd70 board using Corsair Dominator memory! The cooler fins would have to turned ninety degrees in order to clear the RAM but the design won't allow that. The fins can't be trimmed to fit as the fan and clips also interfere with the RAM. Please check if its compatible with your board and memory combo before buying (I couldn't find any reference to this problem when deciding to use it in my set-up).

The Best

Don't be fooled by more expensive CPU coolers, this is the BEST. If you have good airflow in your case and have roof mounted extraction fans on your case, this is the perfect set-up even better than water.

Have the TITAN pushing air through the cooler vertically towards the roof mounted extraction fans, perfect !

It is a bit fiddly to mount the fan on the cooler, but when it's there temps are right down. I'm going to fit a 120mm NoiseBlocker fan to it.

Make sure you seat it correctly with arctic silver 5

Really Cool

Got this set up on my Q9650 @ 3.0GHz. Havent overclocked yet but ive had it running on my system for about 4months now and its solid! Got my 4 cores running at around 20-30 on desktop and about 40oC with full load.

Would reccomend this for anyone! Again another good service with OCuK!

Good cooler

Fitted to foxconn bloodrage GTI. Very large cpu cooler but fits with no problems into the Coolermaster CM690 Pure Black mid tower case (with ~12mm to spare).

No problems installing on a new build. Easy to follow instructions. Comes with plenty of socket plates / screws etc.

Cons:
1) fan is a bit on the loud side.
2) very tight fit between the RAM slot and bottom of the cooler
3) no option for a push / pull system by adding a second 120mm fan

i7 920 @3.60 (stock voltage) 45-48 degrees C under 100% CPU load on stress test.

I do NOT thingk you can get a better cooler for this price and it will out perform more expensive coolers.

Excellent overall value for money.

Good, needs redesign for X58 mobos

Got as part of special with mobo, CPU and RAM.
Cools well, but:
* bad design, because fan mounts too low on a Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 mobo, so fan mounts have to be forced on higher up the HS if you want to fit RAM, WTF!
* fan too loud at 100%, so will replace with Corsair H50-1.

Picture is deceptive

I bought this thinking it was a standard sized cooler, having glimsed at the image and seen the positive reviews of the thing

Dont be fooled, this sucker is around the height of a pint glass with a little extra girth

Good cooler tho :D

Muel 2009-10-11

Simply amazing

I don't know why everyone complains about having to take the motherboard out to fit it, have you seen the size of the thing? It needs the extra mounting security.

I have rubbish air flow at the moment, and it keeps my AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition @ 3.74ghz down to 43C under load. Enough said!

ITS AS COLD AS ICE

OK ITS A GOOD COOLER, ALL IN ALL YES ITS A LITTLE PANE TO FIT YOU GOT TO TAKE YOUR MOTHERBOURD OUT AND I HAD TO CHOP I LITLE SCREW SLOT OUT OFF BECOSE IT WAS CATCHING ON THE VRM COOLER, IT ONLY TOOK 2 SECONS WITH A HACK SAW, AND I WAS FITNG IT ON A 775 AND THATS THE SMALIS SOCKET AND MY BOURD Is AT THE TOP END WITH EXTREAMLY HUGE COOLERS ALL OVER THE PLACE, DONT THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE A PROBLAM,
NOW FOR THE TEMS :
BE FOR MY 6600 @62 avg
now i got 50 avg under lode
so i big 10 degese off my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, also i will mention i used a lot of paste then normal, and my own paste at that, becose the heat pipes on this cooler actulay tuch the cpu in sted of a flat plte makeing it slightly un even,
also this is a beast so make shore your kase has over 130mm
from the cpu so it will fit. is got a 120mm fan to coole it that .

Cooling perfection

Amazing cooler, it looks brilliant and does a brilliant job of cooling my processor and managing the hot air efficiently.

Andy 2009-07-27

Cool but fat

Bought this for buying my PC, and it does indeed keep my q6600 incredibly cool, but I would not reccomend it to noobys like myself as I found it a hastle to fit (its huge) and it blocked the usage of many of my other fans.

Once its in though it has suited my needs as I can try overclocking without worrying too much about overheating issues.
