Hacking the Apple TV V1

This drive works fine in the Apple TV V1. the originals only came with 40Gb or 160Gb so this is great if like me you had the 40Gb.. Very easy to replace and works as the original.

Probably the best Notebook IDE Drive the

GOOD: I would say this is the best 2.5" IDE drive out there. From all the research I did (many hours) it's joint fastest with 2 other drives, the Samsung HM160HC (Spinpoint M5 160GB), and another one which I can't remember. Funnily enough, these drives are 5400RPM and the reason why they beat any of the 7200RPM (even the Hitachi 100GB 7200RPM) is because of their extremely high platter density (160GB per platter).

I upgraded to this from a Hitachi 60GB 7200RPM drive (7K60), and the speeds have almost doubled, and the Windows 7 Drive Score went up from 4.4 to 5.5.

As far as I know, this is the largest 2.5" IDE Drive available, and I think it's the largest one they'll ever make, so upgrading to it is a good idea if you plan on keeping your laptop and need the space or performance. (I bought mind because of the performance to be honest)

BAD: Price is very high, but it's like that everywhere to be honest, so that's not OcUK's fault
