Good Drive

Not a bad Drive

I bought it and put it in my MacBook (2009 Model Aluminium)

I knew it was a 5400rpm drive and didnt think it would make that much of a difference, but I have noticed some quite severe slowdown particularly in watching videos online. The machine would run fine and then freeze for a second while it would catch itself up.

Put a faster (albeit smaller) drive in the computer and it all works great now.

So overall, great capacity, but not the fastest unfortunately

Fast Spacious Drive

Installed in a late 2008 Macbook Pro, alongside a Crucial M225 SSD.

XBench score of bang on 50.

Aja System test write @ 54.2MB/s Read @ 55.0MB/s.

No issues with powering up & down as far as I can see.

Also, it *is* a 9.5mm drive, not a 12mm one as some people seem to think.

Great drive, great price.
