So quiet

Bought this to replace a thermaltake toughpower that had fan bearings issues.
Installed easy enough, feels well constructed, and my god its quiet !
I had to check a couple of times that the fan in it was actually spinning.....

so far really pleased with it

Excellent.. BUT

My Model came with a grey fan..not the green shown in the picture..(which i was looking forward too! D: ):*

modular is great as dont need to hide the 7 milllion cables from my old psu.. this was actually bought to test out a faulty motherboard.. so wasnt necessary but i prefer this to the non brand otherone.

is powering a 2500k, gtx 460 12gb ram, 2hdds, 1 ssd and about 10 case fans (cm 690) and hasnt skipped a beat or struggled at all. should be fine if i add another 460 later on aswell!

so to sum it up.. if your looking for a solid good performing branded psu! and dont want to overpay for it..you could do alot worse than get one of these :)

Great

I brought this to replace a cheap 650w psu. As i was building a pc i didnt want to scrimp on a cheapo psu so thought i would pay out a bit more and get something decent.

I didnt even want to take it out the box, it looked right at home sitting in there, but of course i didnt buy it to look at. Well packaged, nice pouch for the leads also.

Its really quiet, the only noise from my pc comes from my gfx card and cpu fans. Does what its supposed to do, and really pleased with it, and also got that added security that ive not really read a bad thing about it, so i dont expect it to go pop on me, along with the double lifetime warrenty. Ok a few niggling problems like the 4 pin motherboard lead wouldnt reach, but my new case came with an extension so no problem there. The sata wires been upside down didnt bother me one bit, they plugged in ok, all wires went behind the motherboard.

Ok it looks great sitting at the bottom of my pc case, but i cant help but think that it misses its box. :D

Silent

Been running this PSU for a week or two now and must say it's brilliant. I cannot hear the fan at all, the modular cables are well designed and the whole package is well engineered. Fantastic value too, what more could you want?

Quiet PSU

Paired this PSU with a 2600K (currently at 4.5GHz stable on air) and EVGA 580GTX, and it gives me no problems. It's very quiet, (I can't hear it in fact) and does its job well. Maybe a little overkill on the packaging (could've dropped the price a bit perhaps?).

I only wish that ALL the cables were modular, like the ATX and the PCI-E one.

Very nice piece of kit.

This isn't a review about how good it is because I've only just brought it and started to use it. I can only echo what Darkst4r said about it. I got this recommended to me by the people on this forum.

The first thing that strikes you is how well package this thing is. The other thing I noticed is the fan colour of mine was black rather then the green fan in the photo.

I've got this hooked up to an ASUS P8P67 Pro board with an Intel i7 2600k cpu and a 8800GTS card. It powers that up and runs very quietly when doing so.

My only bug with this is not only the upside down sata power connectors as mentioned previously but I had to plug in a full cable for just 1 connector at times.

But that isn't really a fault of XFX because they cannot make it perfect for every setup and every case layout. So overall I'm giving this the full 5 stars. :)

Rock solid, great design.

Bought this PSU to replace an aging 405 watt unit that wasn't cutting the mustard anymore. On delivery I noticed just how well packaged this is, comes in an awesome looking double box with a cool nylon pouch to keep all your modular cables safe. The unit itself looks great, with an original looking design and a uniform dark grey powder coat. The fan is very quiet and the modular cables come nicely braided, however the few hard wired cables come with cheap and poorly done braiding although you can always re-do them yourself if it bothers you. The 4pin CPU power cable was plenty long enough to tuck behind my mobo in a coolermaster scout case but the SATA power cables seem to have been wired upside down as you have to double them over to get them to be the "right" way up, although this probably wouldn't be the case with a top mounted PSU. All in all I would recommend this PSU to anyone looking for a well priced, modular CPU with a little extra style. Great service from OCUK as !
usual.
