Amazing

Bought this as part of the system upgrade today to replace an out dated 9500gt.

By far 100% happy with purchase, Excellent card and performance.

** Be aware of the actual size of this monster, it's huge **

If your installing a custom CPU cooler then check size before you buy.

I had no problems with install and a very happy gamer.

100% recommend OCUK as #1 shop, excellent service with no hassle making this more enjoyable to buy :)

Top notch

This card is amazing! and it goes well with an amazing computer!

running this with an i7 2600k and 8GB of RAM FPS on shogun2 in battle has gone upto 140fps on ultra high detail (dx11).

Runs every single one of my games on average 60+ fps on high, even battlefield and arma!

recommend you buy this card, and OCuk have one of the best prices too so what are you waiting for?!

Great Card!

Great card be warned this thing is huge so make sure your case can accommodate it. Running on 955 BE @ 3.7ghz, Corsair tx650! Only bad thing i didn't receive the game voucher as promised will email ocuk! But again very good purchase will run any game maxxed out for while yet!

A Different Perspective

I got this card early this morning and i'm doing a review because my circumstances are different to most as im using this card on a low end motherboard with pci-e 1.0 slot, 2gb ddr 2 and a XP4000+
The card itself is amazing although it arrived without the copy of STALKER. If you dont have a mid to high end pc like i currently dont, this card will allow you to run high settings in todays games at mid resolution with AA and AF enabled and you will get around 30-40 fps constant. In my case my processor and ram are seriously restricting this cards performance. I will upgrade the rest of the system soon tho.
For any1 else wondering as i was before i bought the card.... it WILL work in a pci-e 1.0 slot aslong as its at 16x
The guy at overclockers told me that it wouldnt run but i can confirm it does. I appreciate his advice though as he was airing on the side of caution for me.
In sumary, a great card, WILL work in pci-e 1.0 for those with old boards...would have liked my STALKER tho!!

5870 CF

This card is immensely good (also rated for best price/ preformance ratio on tom's hardware April 2011 for its own price bracket) I have this set up in CF and I do not regret doing so! Handles Crysis and Crysis 2 on max with ease, and never peaking over 75 Celsius (even with the hot weather lately!) Shogun 2 also runs at over 100+ fps! Worth every penny!

4870 to 5870

Fantastic price and delivery was immensely fast (Mind you the cheapest/slowest option was next day!)

Really impressed with this as an upgrade from a single 4870 - Fits straight in on the same power grid, Runs a lot quieter, a lot cooler (heat was always an issue on 4870).

Games tested so far, Assassin's creed brotherhood, BC2, Starcraft 2, all maxed ran perfectly (sorry no crysis or fps!)

For this weeks price you cannot get a better deal.

5870 eats crysis for breakfast

well what you are all thinking is can this caard run all the games of today, without trouble? the answer is yes. It destroys crysis 2, 50fps @ highest. havent tried it with dx11 yet, since its not out, or i havent found it.

the reason why this is getting 4 stars and not 5 is because this was my first time buying from OCuK and sadly there was stock issues, and ontop of that, OCuK did not contact me about this, so i had to complain, and we all know complaining is never nice. i would have given it a 3 star rating, but Steven the complaint guy is a Don. Cheers Steven!

Great Card

Bought this card as a saw the great price drop. Overclocked with MSI Afterburner to 960/1300 and it rocks.

I cant understand why some of you guys cant overclock yours mine overclocked great. All games max settings 60fps

5870 XFX

Bought mine to go with a 5970. Used MSI afterburner to overclock 5970 as and expected to do the same with this. BUT this won't go past 900 mhz even with voltage tweaking because its non reference design. I was very annoyed and disappointed and yes it does overclock to 900 mhz on the core easily but my 5970 will do 930 and wanted to up this to the same level. Paid

Download MSI Afterburner and up the volts and you should be able to overclock it no problem

Dreaded GSOD!!

I bought this card with the intention of being able to overclock, even if only within the limits of CCC. No chance! Even with a memory overclock of only 10mHz, I get random 'grey screen of death'. Not temperature related either. I have had GSOD after a few minutes of play in World of Warcraft and also after many hours. The card has been running pretty cool. Overall, a little peed off, but I suppose if it runs at stock speeds I have no legitimate reason for complaint? :(

An epic beast

This card is an absolute beast. I upgraded from an 8800GTX and I could tell the difference right away. I can now play games like MW2, Mass Effect 2 and TF2 on max graphics and get ridiculously high FPS.

One of the best things about this card is the fact that it runs quitely and at low temps (for air). Idle I'm seeing 30c and at full load it hits around 60-65c max which compared to the 8800GTX, that is very cool indeed (no pun intended).

Overall I've very pleased with this card and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upgrade.

Now I'll have to save up and Crossfire these bad boys ;)

Issue what issue

I have this card running on windows 7, 64bit and i have had no issues what so ever. I was using CCC10.2 but im now using CCC10.3, niether have given me any problems.
Dirt 2 looks and plays absolutly amazing. I have a logitech rumble pad2 and this game really rocks with this control pad. I have upgraded from 2 x 4850x2 in X fire and although this card is not as good against both of them, it plays everything on max and at awsome frame rates. Saving up for another one to put in X fire, then my computer will be complete.

Great when its not crashing my system

There is an issue with these cards and windows 7 x64. It causes almost every game to crash. I would advise waiting for this issue to be resolved before buying one of these.

When it does work however its pretty sweet. Runs bad company well.

Keep an eye on this thread if your interested in this card:

Worth It

Just upgraded from a 4870 1GB, and wow, just wow. The increase in performance in both dx10 and 9 is mind blowing. In addition to this the dx 11 games run flawlessly, getting 80 fps average on BFBC2 Beta. Yet to try Dirt 2 but it looks promising,

Very Fast

Bought this as my 9800gx2 fried itself, much faster than I thought it was going to be. Good service from the guy who served me. Got high score on dx1 benchmark stalker. Woot

Monster card

Bought this on Friday at 15:00 and received it on Saturday at 07:50!! Fantastic service. :o)
This card is a monster and plays everything you throw at it, with everything set to 'max', with ease.
My TFT is a native 1600x1200 affair and it doesn't break a sweat.
It is a replacment for a 3 year old BFG880GTX and is a truely worthwhile upgrade.
It is about 1-2cm longer than the GTX however, so beware!!
The fact it uses 2x6 pin PCI-e connectors like my GTX is a real bonus too, as I didn't need to upgrade my PSU to use this beast.
Fantastic card, buy it, you won't be disappointed!
