For those who have the noise issues :

Yes this card gets loud on auto fan settings, just enable manual fan control in CCC and keep it between 30-35 % when idle and 40-45% when gaming.
I personally owe this card and the sound level is just fine, temps will never go beyond 90C.

This is an old story with all the XFX cards/blower type fans.

Ideal gaming with Headphones

Bought this to replace a 4870, very fast card and plays most things on high/ultra at 1440x900. Only downside is the noise under load. Very loud card due to the tiny blades. Recommend putting a Zalman VF3000a, so much nicer but add

Fast but LOUD

Fast card, but just WAY TOO LOUD. And the GELID cooler doesn't fit to the caps getting in the way of the heat pipes. Buy a different 6870.

Great value card, but loud

Nice Minimalistic look. Plays Skyrim on ultra at satisfactory frames (about 45/50 outside and 60 inside), plays it perfectly on high (constant 60 everywhere with 60hz monitor with v sync on). Laughs at games such as Dragon Age Origins and Deus Ex Human Revolution on max. Runs at about 36
