GeForce GTX 1060 AMP Edition 6144MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

The GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card is loaded with innovative new gaming technologies that make it the perfect choice for the latest high-definition games. Powered by NVIDIA Pascal™, the most advanced GPU architecture ever created. The GeForce GTX 1060 delivers amazing, class-leading performance that opens the door to virtual reality and beyond.

The GeForce GTX 1060 just like 1070 and 1080 supports SMP, this gives the 1060 twice the VR performance of a GTX 970 in supporting titles, making the 1060 ideal for Virtual Reality and headsets such as HTC Vive and Oculus Rift taking gaming to a whole new dimension.

GeForce GTX 1060 is the upgrade many have being waiting for who are on older ATX power supplies with only 6-pin PCI-E connectors, due to the ultra low 120W TDP of the 1060 means you no longer need to upgrade your power supply to accomodate this hugely powerful GPU and as low as a 350W power supply is absolutely fine. So upgrade today and get a massive performance boost along with all the latest and innovative gaming technologies such as DirectX 12.

it works!

I really just posted this review because I was curious to check the cost of GPUs and found my card to be £390 (as of 1st March 2018)!!!! WTH! Bought this mid Dec 2017 and it was £260. Crazy!

Seems to work fine anyway.

Fan is 0RPM (passive cooling) up until around 60 degrees centigrade. Very quiet beyond this, as fan pulses on/off to regulate temps. Example: ran MSI kombustor furry donut at 1920x1080 fullscreen. 64fps solid. 72 degrees centigrade after running for 10+ mins. Case fans were louder than card. CPU cores averaged around 30% load.

Physically really short (in length) too, so no fitting issues. Only 21cm, so perfect for even older, smaller mid towers, etc.

I play everything from titanfall 2 to world of warships. BO3 is ok too. Had to play 1080p on 50% render to get 60fps with my old card. Now am on 100% render (admittedly on low everything). A little disappointed but lots of things affect smooth MP fps. For what I want (1080p) it will be fine. I would have gone for a 1070 (so I could hopefully get 100+ fps at 1080p high) but thought £400ish for a 1070 was a bit much (oh the irony). I am confident it will satisfy my needs for other titles e.g. witcher 3. Was an upgrade from an nvidia 570, so long overdue!

Running on a gigabyte z87-d3hp mobo, Samsung 500GB 850 evo, 16GB DDR3 RAM and a haswell i5-4670k @ 4Ghz (not trying to squeeze max performance, just a simple BIOS config to 4Ghz - job done and no manual voltage tweaks required). Ok, older hardware but what can one do. It works and I can’t justify a new rig.

Completely stable anyway. Just works. No dramas. Suitable for 1080p gaming but not worth it at current GPU prices. This is why I’ve only given it a rating of 5.

Excelent Card

But only version with Samsung memory which is more overclock able than Hynix .

It's good but the fans fell off

Bought this as part of a new super gaming rig I was putting together. OC built the system for me so I don't know whether the fan housing was cracked before or after it was installed but about two days after I got it I witnessed (through the case window) the whole fan housing fall off and crash onto my PSU below. I wasn't keen to RMA it as I only just got the system up and running so employed some superglue to fit the housing back on again which seemed to have cracked around all four screw threads (maybe dropped or manhandled at some point - who knows?). In any case, it hasn't fallen off again yet and runs like a dream handling pretty much anything I throw at it.

Hi John.

Thank you for shopping with us! We're sorry to hear about the fans/shroud issue. It does indeed sound like it's taken a knock at some point. We would recommend setting up an RMA with us at your earliest convenience as we want you to have the best  quality of product possible.

Kind Regards
OcUK team.

Excellent card

Bought this as an upgrade to a 670 GTX the performance increase in FPS is more than double in all the games I've tested.

The card is silent at idle and very quiet under load. in normal gaming conditions I can't hear it over my h80i fans.

It boosts to 1911 out of the box and holds around 75c at 47% fan speed. Its small size makes it the perfect card for ITX systems like my FT03 mini even if its not a blower design
