Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers

- The Hall effect refers to a scientific phenomenon in relation to electrical conduction. When a device’s conductor (or semiconductor) carrying an electrical current is introduced to a perpendicular magnetic field, this allows the voltage of said current to be more accurately measured. That measurement in turn is known as the Hall effect.

- Traditional joysticks and triggers (non-Hall Effect) require physical contact between the components, causing them to wear down over time more quickly, which can eventually register movement even when no input is made, what is known as drift.

- The Digital Trigger is best for when milliseconds count. Get the advantage in FPS games with faster trigger response.

- The Analog Trigger is best when more precision is needed. Mash the trigger for full-throttle acceleration or more finely depress the trigger to accelerate with more control in Racing or similar games.
