Finance available from Great little card
by EddieNo point reviewing performance; it's a 3060. You already know if *any* 3060 is an upgrade to you, so I'll just list what I like about this particular model. 1) Compact and simple. If you don't have a lot of space, this might fit where other models won't. There's no flashiness here, it's just a simple card, but it is by MSI and I've yet to buy a bad one from them. 2) Champion undervolter. Out of the box, it runs a slightly aggressive 1.075v and a modest 1927mhz with fans that become a little audible under load. My particular card undervolted very well, and now runs 912mv at 2010mhz. Shaved off about 35-40 watts, and lost a lot of heat that allowed a solid reduction in fan speed and noise. 3) Undervolted and looping a benchmark, the fans now peak around 60%, and it sits low-mid 70s in a snug case. This is perfectly fine for all purposes except bragging rights, and still offers headroom for anyone willing to ramp up the cooling. 4) Efficient. Can be idled with zero fan speed, or 30%, both of which are equally silent so I chose the latter, where it sits 30 degrees driving 4 monitors. In lighter games, it often doesn't bother to boost to it's max clocks while still delivering a solid 60fps at 1440p and is inaudible. It's almost alarming how much less heat comes out of my PC with this than with my old 1060. 5) No detectable coil whine on my particular unit. On the whole, if a plain 3060 offers enough performance for your personal needs, I think this is a pretty good option. No real reason to pay more for a larger heatsink or an extra fan, this gpu is not that hot if you are willing to take an afternoon to tune it.
