Highly ergonomic, the large ear cup pads are interchangeable should yours need replacing. They are designed to conform to your ear, creating a better acoustic seal. Should your housemate come knocking to offer a cuppa, the lift-to-mute function of the microphone boom arm ensures that real life will not bleed into your campaign. The microphone itself is bidirectional and delivers crisp, clear audio to your squad.
Increasing the portability of the H3 Hybrid, the microphone boom is detachable – using a magnetic connection for easy removal and replacement. To keep the port safe, a cover plate is included within the packaging, retaining a sleek, seamless look. Thanks to the multiple connectivity options, this headset can be used with your phone and on the go. Should anyone call you while you are vibing to your favourite tunes or watching a live stream, there is an integrated microphone in the ear cup. Life stops for no one!
Connect Three Ways
As already briefly touched upon, the crowning feature of the EPOS H3 Hybrid Headset is the fact it can be connected to a myriad of devices in a number of ways. First, let’s talk about Bluetooth.
As you would expect, Bluetooth is compatible with any device that supports a connection of this type. Your phone, tablet, or gaming PC. All these can be paired with the H3 Hybrid, for wireless connection and all the freedom it provides. The battery life on Bluetooth is roughly 37 hours between charges. Plenty of time for gaming, streaming, listening to music, and more. Plus, it recharged in just an hour and a half, so you’ll be back to wireless in no time.
Next, we have the wired connections. Not content with just giving you one wired option, the packaging includes two different cables. The GSA 31 USB cable and GSA 30 Console cable. Naturally, the GSA 31 connects via a free USB port, with a USB-A interface, and this is the charging cable, so you have unlimited gameplay time. The GSA 30 is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, granting more universal connections. When using the 3.5mm jack, the battery life is 24 hours.
Finally, you can connect using both and, again, with two options here. Connect via Bluetooth and USB or Bluetooth and 3.5mm jack. This allows for audio mixing and facilitates more advanced controls, such as with volume. The integrated volume scroll or device can be used independently to control how loud or quiet your audio is. Plus, the audio mixing allows you to adjust the volume of different streams. You can up the volume of your voice chat while keeping your game audio as a background ambience. (Or vice versa!)
EPOS Gaming Suite
Take full control of your EPOS H3 Hybrid Headset with the free-to-download software EPOS Gaming Suite. Here you can customise your sound, setting it to 2.0 stereo or 7.1 surround sound, adjust equaliser settings, reverb, and so much more. Plus, the integrated smart button can be given additional functionality after it has been used to pair your device. Take calls with the press of a button, or reject with a quick double-click if you’re too invested in your gaming session to chat. There are a plethora of settings and customisation options available on the EPOS Gaming Suite, to get the most out of your headset.
