Avast! Skull and Bones Has Finally Set Sail on PC

Ahoy, me hearties! The long-anticipated Skull and Bones has finally set sail on our gaming PCs.

Avast! Skull and Bones Has Finally Set Sail on PC

Well, shiver me timbers, the day has finally come. Skull and Bones, by Ubisoft, has been released, after many delays. The promise of the open ocean has been calling to us like we are Moana, so we are mighty happy to be flying the Jolly Roger after all this time.

Skull and Bones Gameplay

Skull and Bones is an open-world RPG, where your sole aim is to become the most infamous pirate kingpin. Standard pirate goals, really.

There is a vast and beautiful world to explore, set in the Indian Ocean during the second age of piracy. There are fearsome pirate hunters, deadly wildlife, dangerous weather, and rogue waves for you to navigate. But don’t worry, there is plenty of treasure and rum, too. Every adventure you seek will put you one step closer to being the best pirate like no one ever was.

Your notoriety is measured in infamy. The more infamous you become, the more resources and opportunities you can unlock. Take on riskier contracts and seek higher rewards, enabling you to upgrade your weaponry and ships.

Your Mighty Vessel

You cannot sail the high seas without a ship! At the time of launch, there will be ten different types of ships available, each with their own unique attributes. They can be extensively customised as you gain more infamy, tailoring their fire power, speed, and more to best suit your playstyle. Plus, changes to your ship can even have an effect on crew stats, such as increasing stamina regeneration.

No one becomes a pirate kingpin with only one ship. You must expand your fleet to become a dominating force in these waters. One of the most exciting facets of gameplay is the explosive naval combat. You can battle against or team up with other players to vanquish your targets.

Lucrative Life of Piracy

With a rich map to discover, you can charter your own course through this abundant land as you rise to the top of the ranks. The sea is full of ships and wrecks waiting to be boarded, whilst the land is teeming with secrets to use to your advantage. Use this intel to seize control of yet more booty and boost your infamy. Get to a high enough rank, and you can stop working for others and run your own operation.

There is much to pirate life, and we’ve barely scratched the surface. Check out this deep dive from Ubisoft for a truly tantalising view into world.

Is Skull and Bones Multiplayer?

Co-op play is supported in Skull and Bones. Turn your squad into your loyal crew, as you sail the seven seas and wreak havoc on the unsuspecting civilians in teams of up to three. Better yet, crossplay is supported across all platforms in servers of up to twenty players. This means you can play it with your mates, regardless of how you play. What’s more, cross-progression is also supported, meaning you can pick up from where your last save left off on any machine.
