Geralt would never portal anywhere. Geralt of Rivia hates portals. Yet, lo and behold, he is now available to unlock on the popular battle royale, Fortnite!
Whilst we eagerly wait for new content to drop, from Witcher 4 to the original’s Remake, we can satisfy our Witcher itch with none other than Fortnite. Geralt of Rivia is available to unlock in the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass content.
What is Fortnite?
Fortnite is a battle royale game that has taken the world by storm, since it first came to Epic Games in 2017. With colourful and chaotic gameplay, crossplay, wacky dance moves, and a massive arena, it’s easy to see why.
Dropped in an ever-shrinking map, go toe-to-toe with up to 100 other players. Loot and craft to create formidable weapons and engage in shoot-outs, to be crowned the last player standing. What’s more, there are additional game modes to explore and master, such as the new Zero Build Battle Royale.
New content is constantly being added with new chapters and seasons, including some ugly Christmas jumper skins. (Although, the skeleton Santa suit is a mood and I want it.) Many famous gaming faces have joined the ranks too, such as Aloy from Horizon Forbidden West and Lara Croft of Tomb Raider. The latest addition to the Fortnite line-up is everybody’s favourite witcher, Geralt of Rivia.
New to Chapter 4 Season 1
Geralt of Rivia is from CD PROJEKT RED’s The Witcher series and is available to play on Fortnite through the Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass. Part of the Gaming Legends Series, there are a whole bunch of Witcher goodies to unlock, including:
- Geralt’s outfit
- Weapons of the Witcher Back Bling
- Spray inspired by the Muscle Memory wither skill icon,
- Igni Sign Emote
- A Geralt loading screen
- Steel Sword Pickaxe
- And more!
These Witcher-themed cosmetics can be unlocked by completing unique Quests using the Battle Pass. The first set of Quests is available to complete, with more on the way later in the month.
School of Llama
Not enough Witcher action for you? A witcher training system has been added to Fortnite, too! Participate in the School of Llama to earn in-game rewards, by completing the four training paths available. They will take you through Witcher-inspired trials and community-created challenge maps. Completing the School of Llama training is another way to unlock Geralt goodies, including witcher sign Banner Icons and a Geralt of Rivia Lobby Track.
Better yet, you don’t need the Battle Pass to participate! Paths 1 and 2 are already open, 3 and 4 will unlock on February 21st and 28th, respectively.
