The Gameplay
Strap in for an exciting adventure on the isolated colony of Arcadia, which has been cut off from earth by a series of mysterious space-time rifts. It’s up to you, as an agent of the Earth Directorate, to investigate these rifts before they become a danger to all humanity. Along the way, you’ll be pulled into a conflict between the colony’s totalitarian government, the Protectorate, a rogue religious group, The Order of the Ascendant, and the megacorporation Auntie’s Choice.
Much like the previous game, The Outer Worlds 2 boasts multiple approaches to gameplay, with viable options for diplomacy, stealth, and all-out action. As such, the game retains the innovative branching dialogue tree of the first one, while also using an improved combat system. You can choose to play in either first or third person, with a wider range of melee and ranged weaponry to devastate your foes.
Arcadia is a sprawling colony, with diverse biomes to explore. From the sprawling streets and alleys of the Arcadia Colony to the devastated landscape of Golden Ridge and the natural beauty of Paradise Isle, there is so much to discover in this game.
As you uncover the secrets of Arcadia, you’ll gain experience. Level up and gain new skills and perks that can change how you interact with the world.
